Bing Rewards Xbox points are FUBAR

The good news is that no matter your streak, each day counts for 15 points. So, other than missing a day, there is that.

 
Anyone know what's up with the badges thing on the Bing homepage? Says it's a beta thing, but there's not really any information to go with it.

 
Well they closed my only bing/Microsoft rewards account that I had for like the last 5 years.It had all my real info and was linked to my only xbox account I ever had since 2009.I never had any problem with the account until now.It had 25,000 points in it.I emailed them and this is what they said.None of the things they listed apply to me.I have only done manual searches and used all my real info.

Anyone have any success on something like this?

After further review, we regret to inform you that your Microsoft Rewards account has been closed because it does not conform to the Microsoft Services Agreement governing the Rewards program which you accepted when joining.  

 

Our research indicates that you or your Microsoft Rewards account has engaged in one or more violations of the Microsoft Services Agreement, which may include, but is not limited to: 

 

•Maintaining more than six (6) user accounts per household;

•Opening more than one (1) user account per individual;

• Residing outside of the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Hongkong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan and United Kingdom.

•Not providing accurate account information, including your true first and last name, your complete and accurate mailing address, a working phone number and your email address;

•Using a service intended to obfuscate your true IP address or your location;

•Using a bot, cheat code, macro or other automated method to participate in Microsoft Rewards;

 

As a result, your Microsoft Rewards accounts have been closed, any points accumulated in your accounts have been voided, any pending prize orders have been cancelled, and you are disqualified from participating in Microsoft Rewards.

Sorry to hear that. Thank you for the warning and reminding me that they can do as they please. I've been holding on to my points waiting for another annual Gamepass to appear. I'm going to redeem the points I have.

I know some people are going to say why did I sit on that many points.I was saving to get the 12 month Xbox live like I did every year around this time.

 
Keep contacting them. This happened a year ago with my dad's account and they sent him the same message (that I got to deal with it for him)

We have 4 people in my house who use Bing rewards and we all do our own searches. My dad had racked up over 36k points (enough for 7 Amazon cards if I remember right) and I ordered them all for him in one day (which was probably my mistake) and his account was flagged and banned and it took me nearly a week to get it back for him. 

Just keep trying, keep explaining that you aren't going against their ToS and you only use your account in legitimate ways. I wish you the best of luck, I know how bad this sucks.

On top of that, many people here recently were able to get their accounts unbanned (including myself). Keep trying!

 
With the new direct deposit anyone know how to transfer credit over?. My bing account and xbox account aren't the same..So I know have 10 credit on my no xbox account.I tried to buy 10 xbox gift card but can't use the credit,lol.

I was told yes in chat via MS-com's store support some months back but didn't try it. Just started getting Walmart through rewards, it's more points to redeem but easier and I can buy MS$$ through Walmart's email code without a expiration or direct deposit.

Since July 1st, I hadn't been able to get the extra 100 points using the Microsoft launcher on two different phones. Anyone else having this problem? I still have the card on the dashboard. If the promotion is over, I'll switch back to Google launcher.
 
Be careful redeeming for the 1 month Xbox Live subscription right now.   I ordered one this morning and they somehow screwed up and sent an previously redeemed code.   I've sent an email to their support team, just trying to figure wtf is going on.

Some of you may have already done this, but Bing now lets you “gift” points to other MS accounts. The accounts have to be linked by one account inviting another to join and their subsequent acceptance (kind of like a friends and family cell program). Anyway, once my account was linked to another, the gifting process was pretty simple. However, you can only gift so many points per month. I believe it is equal to the number of points the donor account has earned for that month. For my account, it limited me to 5,000 points.

Donating points could be very useful for families that have different reward options (e.g., my account lets me redeem for amazon gift cards and I know some newer accounts do not have that redemption option.)

Sweet! I didn't know that! I linked my other account but how do I gift the points? I can't seem to find out how to do that

 
Okay...now that you have linked your account, you can gift points by signing in your account that you will be donating from. Once signed in, click on "Rewards" then click "Community." It will then have buttons for you to click to donate or ask for points. Hope that helps!

the log in days is just not working for me. i should have all the ten days by now but i’m only credited for 6. i’ve tried various variations of login in on edge and the console. can’t figure out what constitutes a login on my account. I wrote them and they say they’re aware of the problem

same on mine and wife’s account. we’ve done it everyday shortly after it started. mine has registered 8 and hers 7. even after the extension supposedly till october 5th. sucks ass.

Pay attention to the redeem page, as some are reporting finding an option for a $5 Xbox gift card for 2500 points(half off).  It's not in the regular listing for it, it has it's own listing on the redeem page and can only be used once.

 
I kinda quit doing my daily bing searches/challenges, etc with some of the redesigning a few months back, but should get back at it.  Is there an easy way to get searches in again like scrolling thru news items and clicking on each one like before?

That's usually what I do for the desktop searches to reach the limit for the day. I just click the stories that they have on the bottom of the page.

Search "songs by (insert popular artist here)"

Bing lists a ton of their songs and clicking a song counts as a search.

Bing send me a rewards email with "no subject" and a blank email...did a resend and did the same thing..Any one else ever get this?

Never saw the discounted $5 Xbox Gift card so many were seeing. But mine did change today from the Skype deal to 1 month of Gamepass.
1 Month for 5250
