Please do some research prior to your purchases. While I am still a PC gaming noob, I just jumped on this deal. Well in the past 6 hours I have learned some interesting things.
1. Bioshock 1 seems to have problems with directx/sound/pigs/blankets, and I managed to hit two of them. I was finally able to get it running after some investigation.
2. Bioshock 2 does NOT support a game controller. I know you PC guys are gonna be all like " Well why on earth would you want a gamepad, why not just get a pad for your v@gina? Well I have no good excuse for you. And yes you can ghetto rig you something nice if you want....and if you do, it would be awesome if you can help me out with setting that up- you would be my "BIG DADDY" if you know what I mean - no, but really, it would be super awesome if someone wanted to.
But other than that, I am loving me some gamersgate. All I have heard is how awesome Steam is, and I want to buy into the hype. But they haven't had any big reason to get me to look at their store, with the exception of tf2 and my ps3 copy of portal 2. But they haven't given me a reason to put those cc numbers on their databases yet.[/QUOTE]
Get a program like Xpadder (or a dozen other variants). For non controller supported games, all you really have to do is assign the keyboard/mouse functions to whatever button on your controller (since most games use WASD for movment, you would assign those to the D-pad or analog stick for instance). Xpadder right now costs money, but I believe there are old freeware versions out there, or there's a ton of programs that do similar services.
