Bioshock 2 LE PS3 $20 BB YMMV

I was in my local Best Buy this morning (Millenia Mall, Orlando FL) and they had a stack of 4-5 of these PS3 LE's with a huge sign saying "Originally $99! Now $20!" looks like they're trying to get rid of these...

It seems that everyone is, it's really a shame now.

Same with the Halo: Reach CE's and the Fallout NV CE's. Collectors editions used to be something special. Now they can be found in the clearance section if you give it a few months.
 
Picture of the display or a receipt scan? I would like to know if this is the price in the computer or a manual price override like open box. It shows as more online which would indicate it is either just your store, or regional.
 
I bought 2 of these on impulse at Target when they were clearanced for $17.48 last year. Took me over 6 months to flip them at a measly $25 each (progressing down from $40). I didn't get a single reply until I dropped it that low. I live in population dense San Diego too.

My point is this only has value if you actually want it for yourself. Not worth the flip.

I'm thinking it's a regional thing; the sign wasn't a typical 5x7 BB sale sign but more like an 11x14 monster... Didn't grab a pic as it was a quick trip in-I don't spend any more time in there than I have to...:lol:

well this is a special edition, not a limited edition which is what you are confusing this with. These were mass produced like the regular version of the game. They were never meant to be worth thousands some day or be sold out quickly. Same goes with all of the Halo CEs, and pretty much every CE made these days. They are made for fan service not collectibility or rarity.

I still prefer the original BIOSHOCK LE with Big Daddy Statue.
The last of the truly great Limited Collector's Editions.

For BIOSHOCK 2 LE - the Poster and artbook were great, but the LP (although topical)
just didn't appeal to me in the slightest.
 
Went to my bestbuy last night - I remember there were 2 of them for $69 last week for the ps3, but didnt bite at that price.
After reading this post today - took the car at 8:40p.m - while it was raining, had 20 minutes to get to the store since they close at 9p.m, was there at 8:50p.m. Not only that I got there in time - not only that they both were still there since last week - and not only they were both priced down to $35 after the guy scanned it to me{it still had the $69 red clearance} - but the guy forcefully price matched it to $20 dollars without even me asking when I told him that its $20 dollars at some different best buy store in the country according to a website online.
Got both for $42 and change.
Will flip one for $100 easily, and keep the second one.

You're kidding yourself if you think you're going to flip one for half of that.

I bought one the other day at Best Buy for $35. Don't regret it, the book is really nice and the posters are cool too.
 
My 360 one just arrived today from when gam.co were clearing them out at $15 + free international delivery. It really is an impressive CE, but now I'll have to buy a record player! :p

I always thought it was just a chain of events.

Take Fallout New Vegas which was 30 usd at gamestop. New Vegas did fine, but the CE just does not feature enough content for MOST gamers to justify. Then they pulled it from the shelves and that was that. I went to two locations looking for a copy, and both times they were in the back.

The same can be said about a lot of the other ones.

Yes buddy-boy - I will flip it for $100 easily - probably for even $150 if I find the right buyer - in Overseas when I fly there next month that is!
 
Any one else got the bundle?
This is better deal considering back last year toys r us had it for $19.99 plus shipping and tax which was about $25 dollars over all.
