Bleach DS: Worth getting it now?

One of the things I'm debating over right now is whether or not I should buy the Bleach game for the DS. I'm a fan of the series and I have seen videos of the game in action and I like how the game is played. But there are some things that are preventing me from buying it. First off I have heard things that the Wifi multiplayer is really good but it lags a lot when you play against people in Japan. How bad is the lag and does the lag affect much from playing a match? And secondly, Viz have recently acquire the license for the Bleach anime which means there's a probability that the game might be localized here in the U.S. If the game is localized, would I still be able to play online against people who have the localized version of the game if I have the Japanese version?

I know it's a lot but I just want get my money's worth on this game.
 
I like the game.

The lag is bad when played against people in Japan. So play with people in the US. You canset it play with people that have your friend code.

There is no way to know how a local version would work but I doubt it.
 
Well it seems like most of the imports so far only connect to their localized servers so it might be a crap shoot for you there.
