My Blockbuster Only Has About 5 out of 50 games in stock and they are crap titles, I'm guessing people just really rent games and never return them, WORST IDEA EVER, I CANT RENT WHAT I WANT WHEN LIBRARY DOESN'T HAVE IT. I want to play/own Katamari Damacy dammit.

oh gawd, it's like $20 bucks. i know this whole site is about being cheap, but this one is worth it enough. please do yourself a favor and buy it somewhere...it is like crack. only. more colorful.
Didn't BB used to guarantee games to be there or something?
They only did that on certain games, but most of all new movies had a guaranteed in stock, if not, you got it free.

Ha. There was a thread months ago where people were outraged when I said I was holding out for a better price. I explained that it was a matter of principle. I bided my time and sure enough, when TRU had a B2G1 sale I was able to pick it up with two other $20 games for an effective price of $13.

they stopped the guarentee when the no late fees started. The no late fees is the worst idea ever. They are rewarding late people and in turn are leaving no rentals for people who never have a problem returning movies on time.

To the OP, it is definetly worth buying. The game will cost around $7 to rent so you might as well buy it.

KaTamArI!!!! ItS Like CRAcK!!!!!

But, if this is all about getting Katamari, get it at GS, EB, or BB, and use the GGC if you get it at BB, you could get it for 15+ dollars to keep, instead of 6-7 dollars to rent it.

You should buy this game wherever you can, it's definitely a keeper.

I think the thread should have been Blockbuster Running Out of GOOD Games. Then again mine has not had very many good games at all.

They probably do eventually return them since Im pretty sure they wouldnt want to be charged 40 or 50 for a recent game. But with the no late fees thing they could have a game for 14 days or another 30 if they want to pay $1.25 more. Since theres usually only like 2 copies at BB, it might be hard to get stuff.

Unfortunately, my local BB stores usually have only one or two copies of most games. If you want something recent like RE4 for GCN, it's been checked out for over a month now, probably by the same bozo who enjoy paying $20 per month to rent one game.

I know how that is too, thats why i got game fly they always have the games I want and I only have to wait a few days not a month.

There are never any games because people have Blockbuster Online where they get two free game rentals a month. I'm a member and I just keep re-renting a game until I beat it. Plus with the no-late fees, people never return games.

Careful. That's not exactly true.

From IMDB News:

New Jersey Accuses Blockbuster of Fraud

New Jersey has accused Blockbuster of perpetrating a fraud on its customers with its "no late fees" policy, saying that the video renter does not inform them of hidden charges. Under Blockbuster's policy, if customers do not return a video within one week after renting it, their credit card is charged the cost of buying the movie. Renters are then given one month in which to return the movie for a refund, less a $1.25 restocking fee. New Jersey Attorney General Peter C. Harvey said in a statement that customers are being ambushed by Blockbuster with the hidden charges. A spokesman for the company said that the customers are phoned after the one-week grace period and informed that they have been charged for the video. If they wish to return it for a refund and tell the customer representative that they were not aware of the restocking fee, it is waived the first time, the spokesman said.

The end of late fees, but the start of being filched.

This is why I've said screw you to Blockbuster, I can never get the games unless I show up within a hour of them opening the day the game's released. I've just stopped going to them and rented from Hollywood Video. It might be slow with getting the new releases(they get them on every friday afternoon), but at least you'll have a chance to rent them.

Yeah. I agree. I haven't rented a game in like 5 years, though, and I have no plans to. The only reason I go to BB is for Gamerush, and maybe sometimes for buying used movies.

Hollywood Video is so much better than Blockbuster.
