What on earth do Japanese remakes have to do with The Host, a Korean movie? He mentioned the Host and then you started to rant about something not related to his post(Japanese remakes)
Or maybe you just felt like venting , typical "anti hollywood" talk amongst japanese film lovers(the worst type of asian movies)
=/
And if you can watch the Jao versions for free you can watch the american ones for free as well; assuming you mean "download" because you can't get free jap movies at blockbuster.

The Eye is also Chinese

Everything's a remake from Hollywood nowadays..coz they ran out of ideas.
and unfortunately most ppl are clueless and thought they're original.

Even the so called Academy Awarded Best Picture 'The Departed' from Martin Scorsese movie. The academy award announcer said that's a Japanese remake movie (how ignorant) during the presentation - that's actually based on HK-Chinese movie 'The Infernal Affairs'.

The horror movie remakes were bad enough, but now they're moving on to remakes of romantic comedies... :bomb: I am NOT looking forward to the remake of My Wife is a Gangster (starring Queen Latifah)... though I may watch the remake of My Sassy Girl... just for Elisha Cuthbert.

For what it's worth, I don't believe that the 4 for $20 is that great of a deal. It makes it an average of $5 a movie, which is decent, but I know I've been burned every time I buy simply because I see the title I bought somewhere really cheap new (BB,CC etc). Right after Nacho Libre came out and was still $15 (2 for $20), I had a coupon making it $7 or $8. Thought that was decent since it was so new. A week later it was $5 at BB. DVD's drop FAST, within a few months they can be had for $8-$10, a few months more and they're $5, and new. If you can find some really cool ones it's okay, but since they are also usually barebones (not special editions) and movies within the last year or so, there's a lot of crap.

If you do go this route, here's a suggestion: go at a slow time and ask the employee if they have any extra, non-locking amaray's (cases). The ones blockbuster uses are really crappy, but they get Amarays from time to time (not as much as when they didn't use the coverart), and they look much better; shinier and just, better somehow. If you ask nicely and tell them you just want your DVD's to look nice, I bet they'll have some for you. Sometimes I just do it for customers without prompting, if they're really cool.

OP I know at tmy Blockbuster ANY movie 9.99 and under qualifies for the 4 for $20. Most likely it is that way all over. Hope that helps

Grilled,

I have a Blockbuster gift card and I'd like to maximize what I'm getting. I don't really want to do the 2 for $20, so I was just trying to get a list of movies on the 4 for $20 rack. Funny thing, I did the exact same thing for Nacho Libre. I hate buying a movie, then see it cheaper for a new copy less than a month later. :)

Thanks,
Venent

Venent[/quote]With a GCard yeah, it's a great deal. Probably the best thing you could do with it. Unless it's for $10 or less and CA; I know there is a new law which says you can request the money off it if it's $10 or less in CA.
