I dunno. It's worth a shot. They do charge up front.

I know I preordered MW3 Hardened Edition, Mass Effect 3 CE and Max Payne 3 SE from FYE because I had their membership which gave me 10% off so it was the best deal available...

Each time I preordered weeks to months in advance (while other stores still had inventory) and they cancelled every single order a few days after release claiming they oversold their allotment.

Edit: But to each their own. I've had horrible experiences with Deep Discount and won't order there either but others have had good experiences.

If the edition stays as rare as it is reported to be then you have nothing to do lose... but remember they do charge ahead of time.

Dang, that sucks... I might use it as a last resort if Gearbox decides not to run more.

It only shows the logos for Amazon, Gamestop and Best Buy under each pre-order box. I guess take that as you will, but that's probably what he was referring to.
 
I have this pre-ordered and paid off at Gamestop, and I just now looked at the extras you get for pre-ordering, and they actually look awesome. I usually never care about in-game extras (mostly because I don't do much online gaming) but these seem to be well worth it...especially the Gamestop Exclusive Creature Slaughter Dome.
 
If you've got the cash I'd say try. I've preordered at Buy.com and JR.com... with luck both will ship and if not oh well... I tried.

I was caught off guard too at how quickly these sold out... hope they make more and let Gamestop do pre-orders again so I can buy there.

That's a big assumption though, and if that were true then the same would apply to the Vault Hunter's Edition as well.
 
what do you mean they put a hold on your card upon pre-ordering that will be refunded within 3-5 days??? makes no sense.

I was told by the customer service rep it is a pre-authorization for the card; more like a hold. Stop and Shop does this to me when I buy gas; I swipe my card, they put a $150 hold then I pump my gas for a total of $70.xx, then a few days later that $150 is put back in the bank and the $70.xx is processed.

How is FYE listing an item for sale a "restock"

Second more people will get cancellations from FYE then will actually receive this
 
I'm holding on to the hope that:

A) They (2K) reprint more before release
B) Unclaimed pickups at GameStop or BestBuy

Either is a long shot but one can only hope. I've never wanted a CE as bad as this one.

The reason I didn't jump on the Loot Chest Edition was because I don't have a spot for the chest itself. That and the other bonuses didn't interest me all that much. I had a $5 off $50+ Gift Code I had to use on Amazon by the end of April so I put it down on the regular edition, that plus I'll be getting the Premiere Club DLC bonuses and a $10 Credit on Future orders, it's like I paid $45 for the Premiere Club Edition. Spending $105 more isn't that justified for me.
