Lol thats news to me 35% off. And I posted it because borderlands used ps3 isn't in stock very often if it helps one person get it while available then so be it it's worth posting.
 
as long as at least one person finally realizes that cag16/edge can get you month old games for $38 at gamestop.com this is worth the spot on the forum, and Sgt Barone's comment leads me to believe it has.
 
Not many people realize this for some odd reason, buts any game at GS gets 26% off if you have edge. Also, don't forget the free shipping codes if you order there. It's partially why, unlike many people here, I love Gamestop. They have many promos so often that I almost always score a nice deal.

Agreed, so many deals are posted these days that have a HIGHER price than what GS sells it for w/edge+cag16 and nobody even notices. The hatred for GS blinds the people of this forum.

It has little to do with hatred for GS, and just about everything to do with the fact that this "deal" is not new. The game has been $50 used on GS.com for awhile, and CAG16 is an ongoing promotion. If we simply just posted every good deal that can be had by buying used on GS.com, the forum would be swamped.

yeah, so far, might as well wait for some kind of goty edition, by the time you buy it now and get all the current and future DLC it will cost you over 100 bucks
 
That's definitely what I'm waiting for. I already beat the main game when I rented it from GF, so now I'm just gonna wait to see if there is a GOTY or PH version with all of the DLC.

Some of us don't know, though, and would never think to search for such a deal. If it's in a FAQ somewhere, then my apologies, but I can't seem to find a FAQ either.

I'm sorry, but when I saw this I immediately thought "This is a deal?". I don't think it's a good sign when you have to add on two promotions just to get a game down to a price that it can already be easily bought at (if not for less) on the general used market. And given my experiences with GameStop in the past I'd rather give my money to an individual retailer than to that corporation.

The reason why those other promotions don't get ragged on is probably a combination of those retailers not needing special cards to get the discount or because they generally offer the game in better condition.

That's fine. I understand that you might not know about CAG16. But if you're on CAG enough, you'll see it mentioned in a great number of threads about GameStop. Whether or not people know about the code, though, has no bearing on whether or not all of these threads should keep popping up. At the very least, this OP did put in the thread title that the price was after the code and EDGE, unlike many others.
 
For me at least, the reason I never paid attention in the past was there was no guarantee for case and manual - so buying used online from Gamestop was a gamble I didn't want to take. So I appreciate this thread even as just a reminder about the promo codes. So, thanks OP!

I hope you're kidding because yes it was a great game, but the ending was worse than "The princess is in another castle"

Doesn't seem likely with 2k releasing a dlc disk only for the 360 in April I think thats the best that will happen.

Other games have seen DLC released on discs, then get a GOTY-type release. Probably end up being a PH version.
 
Definitely, a great, and addicting game. $37.xx is a great price for it. The money saved should go toward the General Knoxx DLC, which is by far one of the best DLC values out there.

I didn't say anything about this being a deal. I was just mentioning the fact that people on this site cream themselves on some deals that can regularly be had at GS all the time. For instance, Fallout 3 GOTY is $37 used from GS and has been since it was released(except for the first month) but every time a $40 deal comes up on some other website/store people go crazy over it.

I agree the CAG16/EDGE combo deals should not be posted because they are not really a deal, but the majority of people on this site either hate GS so much they don't care they will get a better deal with them or they just don't know about CAG16/EDGE.
