Congratulations to this weeks winners, all 7 of them, who picked Failure to Launch as the number one movie at the box office this past weekend: darkmere, GF_Eric, Mike23, thatstoobad, thehuskerfan, Tyga24, and WeaponX2099. They each get a congratulations from me personally :D. I was thinking about adding a prize and moving this to the contest forum, but we will see how interest in this does over the March/April period goes.

Discuss and vote for your choice for tops at the box office, as well as the current releases. And no one has chosen the winner two times yet, whos going to be the first?

Damnit, now I'm 0-3 so far. I have a good feeling about this weekend, though. "V for Vendetta" will rock the box office.

Last week I neglected to account for America's love of the woman whose face looks like a foot: Sarah Jessica Parker. This week I shall not make the same mistake, I vote Failure to Launch to repeat.

QFT...and appropriate-ness???

V for Vendetta. I can't believe Failure to Launch was number one this week though. Damn women taking their boyfriends/husbands/dates to see that idiotic film....

Maybe it really is like George Lucas said and the blockbuster movie is dead....

like i said last week, they miss sex and the city and need their sarah jessica parker fill.

that said, this week is revenge of the action fans. v for vendetta gets my vote.

I feel bad for all the guy's in relationships who's girlfriends will drag them to She's the Man instead of being able to see V.

I think I will do it like George Costanza (since I've been entirely wrong up to this point) and pick the opposite of my initial impulse (V for Vendetta) and go with "She's the Man" (since teenagers will see any piece of crap).

people don't have long enough attention spans to create blockbusters anymore (with the rare exceptions). if a movie's in the theater for a month, it's old. also, hollywood shot themselves in the foot when they moved the average home video release from 1 year after theatrical release to 6 months, and now 3 months. if i'm not sure about a flick, i can just wait 3 short months and rent it for a fraction of the price. it's a flavor of the week game now.

Poll still open today and tomorow night, for those who like to see whom the front runner might be.

If V for Vendetta wins, im going to have a HUGE list of winners to post :D

I'm going to go with V for Vendetta against my better judgement; here's hoping more people are curious to see this on opening weekend than Failure to Launch.

Obviously, we have several winners this week. "V for Vendetta" raked in almost $26 million, beating the March 10 debut of "Failure to Launch" by almost $2 million.

Congratulations everyone who voted for "V":applause:
