Thanks as always to the IMDB
Be sure to vote for who you think will rake in the most money this weekend and feel free to discuss the box office. Also, be sure to go out and support your favorite movie!

This is an easy week.

Also OP, I want to say I appreciate you doing this every week. You are teh good.

And you are from Idaho, so double plus good.
Well that was easy. I think I won of these before. Can you check?
Sure thing evan, you have one win: thread #4.
Sure thing evan, you have one win: thread #4.
Alrighty. I'll be up to 2 after this week.

This may be the toughest week of voting yet. Everyone has voted for Flight 93 so far but I'm not sure if a large portion of America is ready to see something like that yet .. but who knows maybe they are. I wanna say it's gonna be RV cause its gonna be light and funny and Robin Williams' first comedic roll in a while but I'm not sure. I might have to hold off on my vote for a little while.

I might be inclined to agree with Maklershed. My first reaction was to vote for Silent Hill to repeat, but something was nagging me to vote United 93 and bank on Americas overwhelming patriotism.

Then again, R.V. and The Sentinel could come from nowhere to claim the top spot as well.

Damn, I forgot to vote last week.

Went with Silent Hill, more because I want it to have a good second week than actually expecting it to. And I've never heard of any of the new releases.

i'm going with rv. it looks like it's gonna suck, but i get the feeling america is dying for a robin williams comedy, plus it's a family flick...that can always boost ticket sales. flight 93 will be in the top 5, but the controversy of being the first 9/11 theatrical drama will keep it from being #1. silent hill, scary movie, and ice age will round out the top 5, probably in that order.
And I've never heard of any of the new releases.
i'm surprised you're not all over rv...there's some little pop singer girl in it that you'd probably think is cute.

I must say she is very cute but she's only 15. Her name is Joanna (Jo-Jo) Levesque:

does anyone else wonder if a couple months from now any airlines will be showing united 93 as their in flight movie?

Voted for United as well, not that I think it'll be an entertaining, worthwhile, accurate movie. But people have shown, that they don't care about their movies being entertaining, worthwhile, or accurate, if it's historical, there's an automatic audience for it.

Motherfuck. I voted for Silent Hill before I saw that United 93 opened this week.

I saw something on CNN I think it was about United 93 and if people were ready for it. At least its getting attention.

I'll go with Silent Hill again since I'm unsure about potential aurience reaction towards United 93. The reviews so far have been good along with the buzz but it may still be too soon for most people.

I'm going with Flight 93 - All of America may not be ready yet but many will feel that they have to see it.

BTW - Thanks for keeping this thread up and alive every week OP. It takes a lot of effort from your part so I appreciate the effort. I used to love trying to predict the winners myself and this is the first time i've seen it turned into a fun competition with lots of people.

I went with RV. I just havent been seeing too much advertisement for Flight 93. I see a commercial every 5 minutes for RV however. I'm not to confident with my choice though .. I might lose my streak this week.

Stick It.

The commercials have been playing non stop for weeks now, and this is the movie every teen is going to want to see.

Hell... I kinda want to see it.

Im gonna go with RV for this week because of the heavy advertising and the first family friendly movie since Ice Age which seems like a while ago. People might not be ready for Flight 93 and the film is rated R so that limits the number of people able to see the movie apart from content.

Damn, lost 2 weeks in a row!

Wasn't expecting R.V. to make more than $9 mill, tops. Who the hell actually wanted to see it, anyway?

Oh well, I can probably get every single week now that summer's starting.

Damn, RV? I chose United 93.

When I went to see it Saturday, the theatre was packed. Just some food for thought, I guess.

If United 93 wasn't showing, though, I would've probably seen RV. So I guess people with young children or without access to R rated movies would see RV. Plus, as mentioned, it had more showings.
