Went to a local FYE tonight, one that surprisingly still had video games. There were signs that stated, "Buy 2 new games, get a used one free". Nothing more. So I did what any red-blooded CAG would do. I dug through and found the two cheapest new games I could find and the best used game they had. I ended up with:
New
NBA 2K6 listed at $7.99
Facebreaker listed at $8.99
Used
Dead Rising 2 listed at $49.99
The computer wanted to reject the sale because the new games didn't add up to the value of the used game. The sales associate went and got a manager and they inspected all the signs, but they all said nothing more than "Buy 2 new games, get a used game free". There was nothing stating what the computer said, so they gave it to me. It probably helped that I was buying something else and that there were 6 people in line behind me.
Oh, and to make things even better, the NBA 2K6 rang up at $2.99, not $7.99.
Summary: NBA2k6, Facebreaker and Dead Rising 2 for $12 + tax.
