Brain Age or Big Brain Academy?

I'm going to try to get the ol' lady into some ds gaming and I'm thinking of picking up one of these games for her, for Christmas. Which one do you think she would like better?

Both are quiet good. I'm a fan of the those brain games etc. Both can be purchased for under 20.00 each.
People say stay away from the Brain Boost Beta and Brain Boost Gamma. I actually purchased these games for 9.98 each. Not has good as the two you mentioned but for the price it is worth it for the variety.

Get her both, you will like them also.

I agree with the previous poster, get both if you can. If you only want one, I'd go with Brain Age and then pick up BBA later once you get her hooked on the DS.

Thanks for the input. The boards on CAG, while not quite as active, always yield much better responses than other game sites.

If she likes sudoku, that makes Brain Age the obvious choice. Both are fun games, and getting both would be good. The DS Download Stations have them both if you wanted to try them out before buying if there's a store with a download station near you. If choosing one I'd go with Brain Age.

I'd go with Brain age as well. Its vastly superior to BBA in almost all ways.

Ok, I went with Brain Age. Hope she likes it. Almost bought Age of Empires for $20 at the same time. Had to force myself not to.

I'd agree with the Brain Age recommendation. It kept my interest longer thanks to Sodoku and the way it's structured to play it daily (and it may actually help with your memory)

I blew through Big Brain Academy in an hour or two and sold it. (Not that either are real games for gamers)

Those other two mentioned aren't by Nintendo, which would probably be why they're not as good-just trying to rip off Nintendo's success.

EDIT: By the way, my "real games for gamers" comment just means that it's not a Zelda or Castlevania or Final Fantasy that's going to hold our interest a long time-not that we're not allowed to play it

There're also dedicated Sudoku releases for DS, for the order of the games to get, I recommend

Brain Age > Sudoku Gridmaster > Big Brain Academy then both Brain Boost titles will be after those 4

I agree with prev posters, BBA lacks depth and it doesn't have the longevity of play time.

If you like Sudoku, get Brain Age.

Other wise it doesn't really matter as the main games get old after a month anyway.

I actually like bba the best, I like the logic puzzles involved in it. Brain Age gets tedious after a while.

If you like Soduku then get Age no question but I like everything about Academy better. Both are quite good though.
