People buy Brutal Legend, it is a really fun game and if anything we need to support the developers of independent games so that we still get games other than Modern Warfare.

Edit
And Bayonetta is amazing action game, better than Devil May Cry in my opinion.

Wasn't Brutal Legend 6 bucks couple weeks ago on Newegg? I regret not picking that up for that price :(. Hopefully no one buys so it can go back to 6 so I can go ahead and grab a copy for that price.

Does Brutal Legend really qualify as an independent game? It went through two of the biggest publishers out there.
I think Brutal Legend has been below $10 multiple times already from different retailers.
Yep - was $6 bucks w/ free shipping a few weeks back. Although once you drop below the $10 threshold, you aren't going to see it get much cheaper (I guess it's all relative, but I see very little difference between $6 and $10, but maybe that's just because when a game goes sub-$20 I get excited and insta-buy if I wanted it).

It definitely wasn't an indie game in the general sense; it was big-budget ($20M) through a big publisher (EA) with celebrity talent (Jack Black) by a well-known game designer (Tim Schafer).

But it does count as independent and original thinking! And is a fine piece of work. And that in itself is worth supporting--perhaps as much as actual indie games--because if original games like Brutal Legend keep making money, then the big, evil publishers just might be willing to bankroll more of them.

Thanks for the links, those are sweet deals! I may snag Bayonetta (since I already bought Brutal Legend).

Darksiders is also $12.99.

Brutal Legend's a great deal as it allows you to create beauty simply by rocking, but it kind of lost me with the ill-fitting RTS sequences. I should really give it another go.
...thanks for the links; and thanks for mentioning what console they're on...
In the time it took you to whine about it, you could have just looked it up for yourself. Just putting that out there.

Not to try to belittle OP's work or anything, but maybe there should be one big Newegg thread since there are about four active ones right now.
