hey guys wanted to know if there any pre order deals on this game that come with a bonus, i know game stop has one with some download content anything else out there that mite be better :applause: please let me know thanks
 
I believe Best Buy had a pre-order album sleeve for the game. Nothing super special, but it sounded neat. Other than that the only thing I know of is the $10 gift credit through amazon, but I suspect you mean actual game related materials. I am curious myself to see if anyone else chimes in. :)

Also, this releases during the TRU buy 2 get 1 free, so you could pick it up with Uncharted and something else.
 
Gamestop's got an in-game guitar.

^^ TRU is the best deal in town if you need 2 other games (it's near Xmas- so it might be helpful).

I seem to find that TRU conveniently misplaces new releases the week of their B2G1 sale though (Happened last year with SOCOM). So it might not be reliable.

Other than that- i'd look at Amazon's 10 dollar gift card (and ECA discount).
 
I'm looking to buy up everything I can about this game, so I went to best buy to preorder for the vinyl sleeve. But then it occurred to me, after amazon's cheaper price, ECA, and the $10 gift card it's actually cheaper to pay the $5 for the best buy preorder bonus and STILL order from Amazon. As in, Amazon's final price + $5 < Best Buy's price.

So, I preordered at Amazon AND Best Buy, and I'm just going to transfer the $5 Best Buy credit over to another game.
 
I want to pay as little as I can so I'm leaning towards Amazon. BUT the in game DLC guitar sounds very enticing. Anyone know if you get new guitars throughout the game, or do you stay with the same one and just upgrade it throughout the game?

I HATE buying from gamestop, especially since I'll have to pay $59.99 + tax + shipping for it. I only will get it if I absolutely have no other choice, so if anyone can answer my question I'd appreciate it, thanks!
 
I pre-ordered at Best Buy. Here's what you can get.
First off you get the album cover for pre-ordering...
Then with Reward Zone you get a $10 dollar gift card...
And apparently you get a "Brutal 3 pack" Rock band download code that consists of the following songs.

  • "(We Are) The Road Crew '08" by Motörhead (Part of the Brutal Legend three-pack)
  • "The Metal" by Tenacious D (Part of the Brutal Legend three-pack)
  • "More Than Meets the Eye" by Testament (Part of the Brutal Legend three-pack)
I don't have Rock Band, so it's useless for me. But I rather have a collectible album cover and $10 than an in game guitar. I wonder if the guitar codes will all be the same. If someone gets the GameStop guitar, use the code and post it here so we can try to tell.

I'm thinking about having a raffle on 1-up if they even give me the code.
My local Best Buy has been known to give me a hard time with ANYTHING related to the word "free". But i'm gonna press them if they give me any B.S. about it.
