Bush's poll numbers

Drocket

CAGiversary!
Its been a couple of hours since I read this. I've been sitting here, seething with fury, trying to think of a way to express how I feel about this. Lets try...

I think this ultimately proves once and for all what we've always known about Bush's supporters: they've selfish, greedy mother-fuckers who care about nobody but themselves.

We had people locked in a sweltering, unventilated, stinking football stadium for days, forbidden to even try to walk out of the city and maybe find help somewhere themselves. Infants dying of thirst. Old people dying because they didn't have their medication. And this went on for DAYS. DAYS passed, while national guard crews sat around waiting for authorization from Washington to do something. The FEMA medical ship, which nobody bothered to call to service until Tuesday, and couldn't leave port until Friday, is STILL IN NEW YORK until tomorrow. The gov. of Louisiana asked for 40,000 national guard troops the day before Katrina hit - they may finally get that number sometime next week.

And 48% of the country rate this responce as 'good to excellent'.

Think about that.

Thousands have died because incompetent assholes, with no experience in disaster planning or management, were appointed to manage disaster planning and management. Appointed by who? Bush. And 46% of the country say Bush has done a pretty good job.

...

...

Words cannot describe this.

...

Ok, so if 10,000 people dead isn't a big deal to the country, what is? Why, gas prices, of course. 80% of the country is unhappy with the government's performance.

...

What can you say about this? As I said, words fail me at this point. People are dying by the thousands because of sheer incompetence, but apparently that's just fine and dandy as long as it doesn't force people to pay a few bucks more for their Labor Day trip. The only thing these people care about are themselves. The suffering of others means NOTHING to them (and I'm sure the fact that its mostly black people suffering doesn't help matters any either.)

I hope they rot in hell.

In this day and age, unfortunately, there seems to be a shrinking portion of "swing" voters; for the most part, people seem to know what they believe, and know what party it is who defends that.

You could have video footage of a Newt Gingrich leaving a leather bar, still in full gear, coke smeared all over his face and a twink in tow, and most republicans would still stand behind him.

You could also make the same assertion about any democrat scandal you can think of.

The voters may, but the Republican party's ministry of propoganda would be forced to replace him.

Remeber Republican Jack Ryan, the Illinois Senate hopeful who got caught in a sex scandal - one that involved bringing his beautiful actress wife (Jeri Ryan) to a sex club (oh the horror - heterosexual married people trying something new in their sex lives).

Of course the Republican party derailed his campaign - I bet now they wish that they had sent someone competent up against Obama. Actually, no, I think they would rather lose then give up the farce of being the "moral values" party of America - poor Jack Ryan didn't know that he could have always just played the "Get out of Jail" reborn-again Jebus lover card.

If I remember correctly, jeri ryan said she didn't want to go but he pushed her into it. If that's the case, trying to push your wife into a sexual situation she doesn't want to be in is a serious issue.

That's what I remember hearing too. Regardless of how he likes to get his jollies, the guy sounds like an asshole.

Don't worry, after the Karl Rove propaganda hits the country Bush's approval rating will skyrocket to 80%+, which would pretty much guarantee Jeb Bush's 2008 presidential campaign success. I can just see the Rove propaganda now. "WITHOUT BUSH'S SUPREME AND DIVINE LEADERSHIP, THE DISASTER WOULD'VE BEEN MUCH WORSE." "ANYONE WHO DOUBTS THE SUPERB JOB BUSH DID ARE TRAITORS AND TERRORIST SUPPORTS!" "THIS IS ALL BILL CLINTON AND JIMMY CARTER'S FAULT!"
