Buy 1 Used PSX/N64 Game Get 1 Used PSX/N64 Game Free @ GS/EB

Nope not all stores are doing this sale. Its completely YMMV and limited to VERY few stores. I've checked with 4 stores in my area that carry them and they confirmed its NOT an official sale.

For anyone who has done this i'd be willing to bet the cashier did a manual over-ride which means its not a store promotion. This has been mentioned REPEATEDLY and confirmed as YMMV.

All stores are carrying this offer it is nationwide.. Not all stores carry the titles...

I reccomend going there and just bringing 2 games up there and have them ring it up.. It will go through. (it was mentioned in an e-mail to all stores)
 
So if I take my receipt for Dragon Warrior VII, purchased a couple of days ago, back to the store, they'll acknowledge that they were wrong when they told me there was no B1G1F deal, and give me a free game?

Somehow I doubt it.

My EB has plenty of N64 and PSX games, but the prices for the ones I want are so high ($30 for Persona???) really don't make it much of a deal. I haven't seen any signs up in the store or anything so I don't know if they're actually doing it.

They will.. go back and have them ring in the game and another game..

It could be that this deal just went national. A few weeks ago I noticed that every EB near me was doing a 50% deal on all older games, but most other regions didn't know about it. At that point they had to manually adjust prices to give the 50% off. However, tonight I went to yet another EB and this one knew about the deal and didn't have to adjust anything. The computer took care of the discount(which is now B1G1 and not 50% off).
 
Ok, I work in a store that doesn't carry PSX games, but I've had one in the hold drawer for a while (it's nothing rare, I just haven't bought it yet.) I checked to see if it works by scanning it twice, and the new promo wizard program made one copy free. I've heard nothing about this sale from any e-mails, and we've got no signs for it, but I know it's true. Regardless of what they say, have them scan two games in.
