Buy 2 Get 1 Free used at EBGames starts again February 1st...

Nice, I didn't take enough advantage of this deal last time, I'll pick up some good games this time.
What's a DM? Deal Master? Actually, I know it can't be Deal Master...
District Manager. Either that or Dominatrix.

Confirmed. Next month our VOM (Vendor of Month) will be pre-played. Expect sales like that, and possibly even "The more you buy, the more you save" to return as well.

Good chance to pick up some of the holidays titles that people got tired with already.

sounds like a good deal. Will have to check it out. Can you use your Edge card or the cash for stash coupon (if they continue it) with this deal?

Mmmm.. whenever these things come up it never does get to me.. My GS always has this going on. I think they're just never so updated or it's just like that. But thanks OP I'll keep a lookout for my EBs then.

I know Edge works. Don't know about cash for stash, but since it doesn't stack with the current buy 1 get 1 %0% off I'm gonna say no

Which GS are we talking about here? I've seen you mention it before, and I'm kinda curious if it's around here somewhere.

Was it online last time? I forget, I think it was. this really isn't a deal, but it sucks when you buy stuff only to see a good sale happen a few days later, so this should be enough advance warning if there's a few things ya like.

Dave

Cool, I got an EB gift cart for b-day, and would like to maximize it. Plus I need to progress a little more on some of the games I'm playing now. Thanks for the notice, I was kicking myself for not taking advantage of the last deal.

This is only a relative savings of $1.60 per game vs. their current Buy One Get Half Off sale -- and I know that $1.60 means a lot to us CAGs, but if there are only two games you really want and they're both, say, $20, getting them for $30 (B1G1/2) rather than them plus a game you don't want as much for $40 really isn't much of a deal. Likewise, if there are exactly four games you really want and you're less interested in the rest, B1G1/2 gets you those games for $60, whereas B2G1 costs $80 and gets you two other games. I guess if the real desire is to get product to flip, B2G1 works a little better, but if you just want games, the question as to which sale is better is how many games do you want, and what do they cost?

Current sale? I thought that ended 1/16. Also, where are you getting $1.60 from? The discount depends on the cost of the games you buy. It's basically a difference of 25% vs. 33% in the best-case scenario.

Grrr...EB would kick ass if they included all the games out there, which is what Gamestop does. Just because there warehouse may not have a game, their B&M stores might. It would make tracking down a set of games you really want infinitely easier.

I stopped shopping at EB once the "more you buy, the more you save" offer ended. I'll have to renew my membership card if it comes back.

Dungeon Master of course.

Since there are a couple of guys who work at the stores - just wondering if there will be any new trade in deals. Like trade in 3 get for $?

The GTA: SA is kind of tempting but $25 + 2 games still seems a bit costly, plus I wasn't really in to either GTA's.

I remember seeing something along the lines of "trade in 2 get an extra $10" flyers in our VOM mailbox...and it just said sports titles are excluded. Could this mean POX games are included? Probably. Won't find out till the 1st though.

There is also a flyer with a bunch of new releases...pretty much everything big that's coming out in Feb or March. The offer is trade in 5 PO games and get it for free.

Question: If this offer is online, will it work on both OOS games as well as games in stock? Or do the games have to be in stock for the code to take effect?

The trade 2 get extra $10 sounds good.
The trade in 5 for a new game is cool too - hopefully Champions of Norrath is part of the deal. Wished it was 4 like the after christmas sale but I'll just have give my collection a look through. I guess I'll wait for february.

Oh if you go around Midway area in St. Paul there should be a GS in a strip mall kinda area. This month I haven't gone there, so hopefully it's still going on =T.

Ok, I don't go to St. Paul that much, but I think I have a general idea of where it's at. Thanks, I'll keep that info in mind for the future.
Looks like this deal starts on the 18th...
Argh... this means having to wait a few weeks before being able to make money off of the "Trade 2 get an extra $10 promotion"...

i.e.:
6 x $4.99 games = $20 cost, trade for $30, make $10 profit
6 x $5.99 games = $24 cost, trade for $30, make $6 profit
(more discount & more profit w/ edge card, of course)

Yeah,.... I argued with a cashier today.
He told me to keep dreaming.
That they just ended that sale, and another wouldn't happen until the end of the year.

Yesterday,... a different store told me that it got bumped to the 15th,... but it was still going to happen.

I felt like punching this asslicker in the throat.

Too bad,............. I have like $1000 to spend on games this week.
:)

6 x 4.99 = 29.94... 6 cent profit, liek omg!
And you lose money by buyign 5.99 games.

I believe he was talking about taking advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free deal.

Buy 2 for 4.99 = about 10.00
+ 1 Free Game
Buy 2 for 4.99 = about 10.00
+1 Free Game

Then with the 6 games for about 20.00, take advantage of the Trade in 2 get an extra 10.00 deal.

2 games = 10
2 games = 10
2 games = 10

Leik omg! Not that hard really.

THE DUNGEON MASTER SAID THIS?!?!?

I'll fire a Magic Missle into the darkness!

......god I hate D&D.......

On 1/31, the trade-in 2 XB/GC/PS2, get $10 bonus started. The only thing excluded are sports games (in other words, plain ol' POX non-sports games will work). Yesterday, I traded in Star Fox Adventures and Rogue Leader and received $13 store credit ($2 for SF, $1 for SW, plus $10).

The buy 2, get 1 free pre-owned sale begins 2/18 and runs through 2/27.

In addition, there will be a President's Day weekend flyer with other specials, the details of which we have not been informed yet.
