I sold the Zelda Wind Waker HD Ganondorf on ebay. The guy receieved it and saying its damaged and he wants a refund. In my description, I have set it as no returns. He wants to send it back to me and get a full refund. I shipped it by USPS and have the $50 insurance. What should I do? Please help thanks.

If an item is actually damaged or defective then it doesn't matter if you say "no refunds", you have to accept it back.

Actuality means nothing, though, if you're dealing with an asshole who got buyer's remorse, damaged the item himself, and now wants to send it back.

He gets his money back and now OP has a damaged item that is no longer sell-able.

Either he damaged it himself or hes swapping with a damaged item he had before. Hard to say.

See, I've run into those kind of guys before and that is precisely the reason I don't sell on ebay anymore.

trunks, are those numbered or do they have serials? Have you requested photos of the box he received it in, including the labels, as well as pics of the damage itself on the item?

Also, did you take any pics of your wrapping/protection and the item's condition before it was sent? Always be prepared and never underestimate the potential for stupid, greedy, thieves.

The problem is that these sites are set up so the buyer holds the power. Even if you're in the right you can still lose out if the buyer is scamming.

I remember someone on here (years ago) sold Tales of Destiny on the PSX in mint condition. It was selling for big bucks back then (and is still worth a good amount now). The buyer claimed the discs didn't work and filed a claim or some shit, so they had to send the item back. When the seller on here received it the buyer sent the game back but with both discs cracked in half.

Ideally, there would be some sort of intermediary that could verify both sides of the transaction. Don't know how that would work and I'm sure it would have problems too, but it mostly just boils down to trusting the decency of people on the interwebz.

In my experience, just give him the refund back but only AFTER you get your item back.  Dont deal with ebay customer service, they will side with the buyer, just save yourself time and the hassle.

already talked to the guy. im not gonna go through more hassles. i'll take the item back and refund his money. i;ll just keep that figure and put it up somewhere.

Just for future reference I'm pretty sure that you can't file an insurance claim through USPS in regards to damage if you have it reshipped/forward/returned. The item and the packing materials needs to stay with the recipient incase the postal inspector needs to take a look at it and they want to see it then and there not after it's been shipped again
