So I just recently purchased a LCD HDTV, more specifically the LN32A550 Samsung found here: http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/...type=lcdtv&model_cd=LN32A550P3FXZA&fullspec=F

Now I just need some cables to hook my TV as well as my PC but I'm not sure which to buy. My cable box has hdmi, s-video, component and regular coaxial but I'm not sure which input to use. I'd like to hook up my PC as well but I'm not sure which cable to buy either. If anyone can help me pick out some cables that would maximize quality from monoprice or a cheaper source, I'd appreciate it. Here is a list of ports on my TV for those who can't view the link, my TV has hdmi, composite, s-video, component, and d-sub (not sure what this is.. is this DVI/VGA?)

We need more info as well. What other devices besides a cable box do you have. Ie:game systems, audio/video rcvr. As it stands now you need 1 hdmi cable for cable to tv. I'm not sure on what you need for pc hookup. If you have other hdmi devices you will need more hdmi cables. If you plan on a av rcvr in the future that has hdmi I'd order extra hdmi cables. Never can go wrong having an extra hdmi cable around.

d-sub wiki I assume this is dvi/vga

Well for my ps2, I'm currently using S-video cables but may purchase component cables for those if it's better quality. I have a gamecube as well and use standard def cables since components for those cost waaay too much so that's a given.
I don't have any other hdmi capable devices besides my cable box so I just need cables to hook up my pc and cable box to the TV. The only problem I had was that I wasn't sure which ones to purchase. What is the difference between 1.3 and non 1.3 hdmi cables? Should I use a DVI to HDMI (would that be compatible with my pc input?) for the PC cable? How much AWG should the cable have?
