Lifehack go to Lil Caesars at 10:30am when they first open and the pizza is fresh and pretty dang good.  When I was in college I would do that before my 11am class all the time.

Missed you guys. Glad you liked Penn and Teller cheapy. Congrats on not gambling, i'm not a gambler either but I went to Vegas for the first time earlier in the year and learned that I can't be trusted in a casino. Great song at the end, I actually checked out the video page and man... So much twitter hate in the comments. Internet people are jerks. Great show as always. Ship, you don't need a Tandy.

In my attempt to eat like Shipwreck, I picked up drive thru food from the new Quaker Steak and Lube that opened in my town at 9:30 p.m. last night.

 
I can't believe the Sky Tram is gone at the Bronx Zoo.  I used to love that ride when I was a kid.  $150 seems like a bargain for the pass though.  Is it still donations on Wednesdays?  My family and I used to go on those days, but of course, it was always so crowded.

 
Well, Dominos is a franchise. In food franchises as an added source of revenue they often make the franchisee order the food ingredients from the parent company, it is how they keep consistency, even if buying local goods would be cheaper and better quality. Shipping all that crap to Japan is probably pretty expensive. Also, since I assume American style pizza is far less popular in Japan there are fewer pizzas being sold which means the overhead costs are spread over fewer pizzas.

Public funding is being cut to zoos all over the united states, they have to make it up somehow. The "DLC" approach is probably so that general admission is not completely out of the price range of those of a lower income.

As in often the case, one person's right to do something comes into conflict with another person's right not to have that thing inflicted upon them. For one person to use their laptop, the other can't recline. For the other person to recline, the other can't use the laptop. No matter the action someone is getting inconvenienced. What side a person is on usually tells you who is often the recliner and who is often the reclinee in this scenario.

Of the 3 characters leaked, the Duck Hunt Dog is the only one I was hypothetically excited about (I have no desire to purchase a Wii U). There are gamers of a certain age that don't even necessarily want to play as him but would RELISH the chance to beat the shit out of him in single player or Vs.

Guys, regarding the standalone Kinect 2, I'm surprised no one read the details. 

It's not just the Kinect 2 for $150, it includes the new Dance Central, which will certainly be a $50-$60 game. There is a target market for that; people who bought an Xbone without Kinect, then found out they wanted Dance Central.

Most of us are probably not that target market, but the price point isn't completely stupid. 

On a side note, when will the CAG website be updated so the next-gen (now current-gen) consoles get their own sections and icons, rather than sharing with last-gen? It's been almost a year now.

And thanks for the recommend on Fibbage, the wife and I are big fans of You Don't Know Jack, so I gave this a shot. I'd say it's not as good as YDKJ for small groups, but should shine with more people. I can play YDKJ by myself or with one other person and have a blast. 2 people in Fibbage was fun but felt like we needed more competitors. Your idea to use Twitch for online play is great, I'll try that out.

It's a miracle that the Xbone dash still make it so hard to tell that there are new indie games that have been released. I'd not have known this was released if I didn't see your achievements in my feed.

It's Dance Central Spotlight, which isn't a full fledged Dance Central game. Spotlight is a $10 downloadable title with expansion track DLC.

 
Diablo 3 not letting two local co-op players use the Inventory menu at the same time is a crushing blow.  I don't think my wife and I want to play thru the game again and have to spend minutes waiting each time the other wants to go thru their stuff. 

Champions of Norrath let you two players access their inventory at the same time on the PS2, but Blizzard can't get it working on the PS4 and Xbone? Ridiculous.

Also, Gameloft's Dungeon Hunter: Alliance even lets you both go through inventory, stats, and shop at the same time. Though, I think Dungeon Siege 3 suffered this problem as well.

Except the stewardess asked him to take it off and he refused. It was against airline policy for passengers to install devices like the Knee Defender.

I just recently bought a TG-16, Sega Genesis/Sega CD combo, and Sega Saturn so I've been looking at a composite to hdmi scaler.

The weird thing is, the TG-16 with an RF adapter looks better on my TV than either of my Sega consoles connected with either an RF or composite connection.

There isn't much that interest me this holiday season on the current gen systems, granted I now have to save up for a PS4 since I gave mine to my brother since he moved to Texas but the Sega Saturn has a lot of awesome games.

fuck people who recline their airline seats. It doesn't matter that you're allowed to do it. You're being a dick to the person behind you.

I'm sure Wombat's right about Twitch making a bunch of money on its streams, I think he's underestimating the cost of storage, bandwidth and support though.

 
There are some planes (cathays I think) that designed seats that you can't recline (instead you can slide your seat out front, which makes for an awkward angle for your neck and cranes it even worse), which I hate. It is clearly an inferior design to the regular reclinable seats (which might be inconveninet to some, but on the whole, it's fair because you also have to accommodate the person in front) because the neck crane is not comfortable for anyone, period. 

And yeah yeah, all the tall people complain about how it sucks hard for them in a plane, blah blah blah. But honestly, there are so many instances in life where being tall is advantageous and grants you a convenience, from small things like being able to see things in a crowd, being able to reach for things on the top shelf, to invisible advantages like being perceived as being bigger or more successful in a professional environment purely because you're genetically tall (napoleon complex exist for a reason!) to legitimate advantages like being able to apply for jobs where there's a height requirement like being a policeman or fireman or some such). 

Being more comfortable in a plane because you don't have ridiculously long limbs is about one of the few small advantage a short person has over a tall person, so tall people, just frakking deal with it like short people deal with just about everything else. 

 
Great show. I never heard of knee defenders before. Honestly congress should mandate a minimum amount of leg room for passengers. Southwest flights are the worst.

Those zoo prices are beyond insane.  For five hundred bucks, I should be able to stick it in a giraffe.

And they should provide the stepladder.

 
On the topic of the Knee Defender - I am 6'5".  Coach is a squeeze for me to say the least.  So far if someone reclines I nicely ask them not too.  So far no issues.  Now to you Wombat, if you are that big of a dick to still recline after being asked nicely, I would open the emergency door and throw your short ass out (killing everyone else in the process) LOL. You should be respectful to people on planes and if they are nice about it then you should be too.   Understand we are all cramped and trying to get through.  Give some love to tall people.

I'm sure Wombat's math on Twitch profits is generally right and he knows about that stuff more than me for sure, but some semantics were incorrect - Twitch does not display subscribers anywhere. It shows current viewers, total lifetime channel views, and how many people have followed the channel. A follow is the same as a YouTube subscribe - it's just a button click that allows you to track a channel. A subscriber on Twitch is someone who pays $5 a month ($2.50 to goes Twitch, $2.50 to the streamer unless it's a special channel like MLG used to be before they started their own site where you had to pay $10) and that number is not displayed anywhere. Only the streamer and Twitch have access to that number, and it's up to the streamer if they want to share it - which they never do. And then there's Twitch Turbo users like Cheapy mentioned, which adds another facet.

TL;DR I'm not discrediting Wombat's general math since I'm sure it gives a correct picture but semantics.

Twitch is also phasing out VOD (Video on Demand). Even if they are claiming otherwise, VODs are disappearing forever according to some streamers. This could save on those storage fees (since no ads in VODs). Not to mention some of the VODs are muted for 30min-1hr intervals and new 2hr VOD length limits.

Edit: Oh yeah, since Amazon was the buyer, you can bet there will be links to everything. That music in background? Here is a link to that song on Amazon music, etc.

So why don't people just use YouTube's live stream then? Save all the hours basically forever on Google's monolith servers. I also prefer rewinding live streams like on YouTube, something that Twitch cannot do (even IGN's player can rewind live streams).

Twitch has a definite and dedicated userbase for streaming, Twitch has a better chat for better interaction, and Twitch has a better monetization policy aimed at streamers (whereas YT's monetization is for recorded videos). It's like Facebook vs. Google + - no reason to switch when there's already an established and successful platform available that you're ingrained in. And a lot of people don't care about VODs - I watch Twitch daily and don't.

Congrats Ship on the Intellivision! It was the first game system my family owned and we loved it, even thought nobody else I knew had one. I almost want to dust it off and see if it still works. 

A few games I remember fondly, not including ones you mentioned on the cast, would be D&D: Treasure of Tarmin, Astrosmash, Auto Racing, Frog Bog, Horse Racing, Masters of the Universe: He Man, Motocross, Pinball, Shark Shark, Tower of Doom, and Triple Action.
