I think Ship stole his VR arcade design from Quark's holosuites on Deep Space Nine. You're gonna get sued for mega-latinum!
 
Surprised you didn't mention Hitman in new releases. Seems like a pretty big one along side the Division.

I like the idea of a VR arcade, but don't see it working. It will be expensive to setup / manage. Constant troubleshooting, setting up for people, plus it won't be very hygienic.

I don't see how a VR arcade social experience is going to be that great. The only way that could be cool is if you build a Mobile Fighter G Gundam sort of machine. Giant DDR Pod? I'm still skeptical because it's no fun if your friend stands around you looking at a screen while you wear an immersive piece of gear while you twiddle your joystick.

Wombat, I miss your Agents of SHIELD discussions. Wasn't Ward acting so much like Edgar from Men in Black?

Nobody talked about the Division's menus. So much better than Witcher 3's. It's 2016 and we just got legible menus? Come on!

To answer Wombat's Xbox One hard drive question, you can hook up both hard drives to your console, transfer all the content from the smaller one to the new one, then get rid of the old one. I think Gamestop buys them or eBay it.
 
I think one of the benefits of arcade VR is that friends would be able to join in, and appear in the world with you. Also, I hate sounding like an old fuddy-duddy, but safety too. Watch videos of people trying the oculus rift roller coaster and they usually have someone there to stabilize the person when they are about to fall. VR can be very confusing and I can easily envision people falling in their homes. Right next to the coffee table edges. Not good.

 
Playing the Division on both Xbox1 and PC....runs like a dream on my 980 (ultra setting 1080p @60fps) no problems on either system. Good game so far, fun playing with friends.

Having optional match matching for all activities is a great feature. Anyone want to party up send me a message.

Ghostbusters has always seemed to be billed as a family/kids movie, which I don't think is quite right. When I went to see Star Wars with my family this past December, the theater had a poster up for a classic family movie night they run monthly. The one coming up at the time was Ghostbusters, and it even specifically stated that it was good for kids. We looked at each other and said that it doesn't seem quite right... It's not the worst thing for a kid to see, but... I don't think they would even enjoy it much.

 
Cheapy visiting a VR arcade would probably be the only way to get some impressions out of him. I can't imagine he'd ever buy one considering he won't even buy a tv for his bedroom because he can't be bothered to plug it in.

In all seriousness, to add to the VR debate a bit more, not everyone games with their significant other/family around. More often than not my wife and I are in different rooms when we're gaming since she prefers the PC and I'm a console gamer. If she needed me for something all it would take is a light tap on the shoulder, not like I'd be stuck in the helmet for several hours at a time.

Also, the "house catching fire" argument always annoys me... Like you wouldn't smell/inhale smoke or feel extreme heat before your helmet melts to your head. :roll:

I think there would be a major appeal (like Karaoke) to watching others play VR in a "VR cafe".

Especially if there a nice big screen that also shows a 2d image of what a person is viewing.

and if the headsets are set right, they won't be able to hear the onlookers laughing at them. 

 
Re external drives for consoles, $70 is a good price for a 2TB portable at the moment.  I got a 4TB on sale recently for $105, better per-TB price.  Plus I thought that even 2TB might not quite be enough to last till the end of this console generation.

Hey Cheapy, I highly recommend the movie E.T.

I found it odd that even after Wombat informed Cheapy that it's an old movie and pretty much everyone has seen it, Cheapy still recommended it.

Everyone has seen this movie already.

 
I signed up for Harry's in January mainly due to your constant high regard for their products. Last week, I had a two-day business trip to Cincinnati on which I packed my Harry's razor in my single piece of luggage. Leaving Memphis, I had absolutely no hiccups through TSA but as I was heading home, Cincinnati TSA stopped me, searched my bag, and confiscated my razor claiming "disposable razors" were a safety hazard. My protest came to no avail from the TSA but a single email to Harry's resulted in a brand new Truman. The email I got in response from Harry's was also personal and apologetic as if it was their fault! They are THE BEST!

HARRY'S FOR LIFE!!!

P.S. My wife loves their blades too, she claims them to be better than any woman's razor she's owned.

Finally, can you do a PSA and remind CAG listeners that in addition to the awesomeness that is Gamers Club Unlocked, Best Buy will price match themselves, many websites or any local competitor for 30 days past the original purchase.  You don't even need to physically bring the item or receipt back.  Just have them pull up your Reward Zone account, show them the lower price and bam!  It's refund time!  I cannot tell you how much money I've saved in the last two years with GCU and 30 day price matching.  And this works on everything in the store - TVs, Blu-Rays, Games, etc. With how fast prices drop now, I don't hesitate to buy anything on launch day because I know that I'll likely be getting some money back on it with that price match in a few weeks.  This 1 -2 punch on Best Buy is definitely the best way to be a Cheap Ass!
