Oh really life.exe? What about all of the key additions that Treyarch did? Treyarch absolutely smoked IW in terms of presentation. To start, they added a party system, the were 100x quicker to patch glitches, they added the squad up feature, they added support for people with modded controllers, they had a full on web interface to look at your stats, and oh yea... You could actually play the game without constantly losing your friends on the way to the lobby.
Basically, they made MP better and actually playable. IW reversed it all with MW2 because they are too damn arrogant to accept that fact that Treyarch did good. God forbid they copy anything that Treyarch did.
IW is so damn arrogant that they are still patching shit that could have easily have been resolved with a beta. But nope, they are too full of themselves to allow that to happen.
Then there is the whole DLC factor too. COD4 sold a shit load of copies yet they only felt the need for one DLC pack. Yea maybe they wanted to be sure to put a lot more time into MW2, but did it help. Not really, because the game is still

ed up beyond all belief.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
They were able to add things because they changed nothing about the actual gameplay. I'm not defending IW because I already sold MW2. I got sick of it. Treyarch added nothing to the gameplay. All WaW was, was MW re-skinned with a horde/wave mode called Nazi Zombies. I have no problem if you enjoyed the game. More power to you, but that doesn't change the fact that Treyarch is a lazy ass developer.
The only reason Treyarch was much quicker on patches, content etc.. is because they didn't do shit to the game. I guarantee you that Treyarch couldn't make their own stand alone fps without help from someone else. They took everything that IW had in place and added on to it. That would be like buying a car, adding things to the car, repainting it and saying you made the car. That's all Treyarch is doing.
Also I highly doubt it was Treyarchs doing as far as wanting to push so much DLC. I'm betting it was Activision wanting them to do it.
