It looks like BestBuy has dropped the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade to match WalMart. The sale goes on until October 1st.

$149 - $10 of $100 coupon = $139

I got greedy, I wanted to use both $10 off $100 from PizzaPizza and $10 off $50 from SPC to make it $129, but Bestbuy did not allow in-store pickup for Xbox Arcade (even if the store was said to have stock).

$139 is a really good price, thanks for sharing.

I pulled the trigger for one , shipping option.

If It's not a HDMI Jasper blabla, I will simply have to ask for an exchange in store.

I have enough EB credit to buy a hard-drive later if my usage justifies it.

Seemed like it went oos just after i ordered... I was able to guarantee the price of $139 + taxes though, but might take couple of days before it ship.s

Just thought I'd point this out in case anyone bought an arcade unit during this sale. Even though they game may suck, a free game is a free game. Here is the description:

We have recently been alerted that select Xbox 360 Arcade consoles at retail outlets in Canada may create the impression they contain the game Sega Superstars Tennis when they do not. Those who have purchased the affected product can request their copy of Sega Superstars Tennis by filling out the this doc.

Here is the link to the form:

Just as a side note, did anyone's arcade unit come with the 5 free games? I kinda wanted to play Pacman CE. I think that microsoft stopped including the free games but their website lists it, as does bestbuy's website.

Nope, the console acutally come with a built-in 512mb memory unit. The box states that the console comes with 256mb, so 512mb is a nice surprise, not that it is anywhere close to enough! I'm replacing a rrod pro console, so I'm using my old harddrive but I would have still liked to get the pack-in games. I might try to go to bestbuy tonight and see what they can do. Maybe some free ms points...

Should've gotten in on this deal when I had the chance, as I need to buy a 2nd 360 system... Any chance of seeing anything comparable to this between now and Christmas, or even boxing day?

Absolutely. Deals can only get better closer to Christmas! Of course, $139 for an Arcade might be as good as it's going to get until after Christmas, but you never know!
