My experience with candy corn is that the first few are delicious. After that I continue to eat more and soon it taste gross.
x BUT, I continue to eat them just cause they're there and addicting. I'm sure I'm not alone here on CAG.
Now tying this to games. Candy corn games are exactly what they mean. They are games that are fun in the very beginning, but soon they get dull. They can be addicting, so it is easy to continue playing just because they are there. Doesn't stop them from being any less dull though.
Probably the biggest source of candy corn games are the iOS platforms. Now to be fair, there are a few good games, but the majority don't seem that way. The most popular, are in my eyes, candy corn.
I know Nintendo (Sony too?) see Apple as it's biggest competitor, but I just can't help but think that anyone that is only interested in these types of games would not have picked up a DS or PSP regardless if there was an iPod/iPhone.
I have an iPhone and I quickly learned that I need to avoid this games like candy corn. Plus, with a browser, there are so many more interesting things to read or do then these games.
Anyone else feel "candy corn game" is a good fit?
