I recently traded for a brand new still in box with reciept and one year warranty a psp. I can still take it to the store and get a ps2 and some games because its not open yet. There is alot of games I want to play on the ps2 but ps3 is coming out then I think about the portability of the psp. With the psp I have Tekken and Valkyrie Profile which are not open either. I am really torn with my options and is a hard one for me. Need some help/ convincing on which one to get.

I think if you buy a brand-new system w/2 excellent games and are still unsure, it's probably a good sign that you might not end up too happy with your purchase.

Unless you got some really good deals, I'm guessing you spent around $300 or so after tax, right?

If I were you I would return the PSP and get a console. Which one depends on your tv situation:

If you already have an HDTV, I say put that $300 towards the purchase of a PS3. You only need to save up about $35 a week from here until the November launch to get the system and a gamefly subscription (I'm not sure how many of those launch games will be worth $60).

If you don't have an HDTV and won't be getting one any time soon, go ahead and pick up a PS2 and a few games. If you've never owned the system, you'll have plenty of great games to choose from, particularly if you like RPGs, and it's not likely to fall too much more in price - maybe down to $100.

thats a hard question. unless there are some exclusives you are wanting to play, I would keep the psp and get an xbox. every time the same game is available for ps2 and xbox i always get the xbox version. i only have a ps2 for guitar hero, ace combat, and sly cooper.

I have the cash for a ps3 right now. I have a job. The new psp w/ warranty was from a trade but I bought the games. I use to own a ps2 but seems like they are coming out with some pretty good titles. If the price drop you mentioned is true I might as well wait to get one. I might just open the box and keep the psp. I already have a xbox halo ed. and x360.
