Car guys, what's this cable dragging under my car?

Just noticed this cable thing hanging low enough that it drags on the ground.  I know nothing about cars, but I know this isn't right.

2004 Chevy Cavalier.

Don't know, but I'd duct tape that thing back up until I found out.

I want to say it could be the parking brake cable. Does it "Y" out towards both back wheels at a certain point?

That's not a parking brake cable, it goes up into the engine compartment.  It looks like wiring to me.  It could be running to the oxygen sensor but it looks a bit long for that.  I would strongly suggest getting that put back in place or at least off the ground as soon as possible.

I'm voting it's something electrical. Dragging it is probably a bad idea.
