Went to CC in Smith haven long island, they had a 20-30% off bin for PS2-Xbox-GC. mostly greatist hits type things, but also had other games in as well, nothing great but each store might have something diffrent
Is your bin actually discounted 20-30%? For example could you pick up a greatest hits title like Morrowind for $15?
I went to the CC at the Christiana Mall in DE and it looked like false advertising to me.
I went to their bargin bin. which has around a hundred games. Mostly crappy, but there might be one or two things worth 20-30% off. They're all regular price. In other words, they're the same price they've been since new years. 90% $20 with a couple at $15. But definately not discounted.
So, I went up and talked to one of the redshirts, and he got a manager. And politely I asked about the 20-30% discount. That if the games were further discounted 20-30% and he said that the prices reflected the discount. Well, I explain that these games have been these prices since January. I've been in there nearly every couple of weeks and the prices absolutely have not changed. So, unless you're discounting 20-30% off the price, it's not really a discount. He explains that the advertisement was just showing that they had titles on discount, not that they were being discounted further.
Their prices weren't even that good either. The same as I can get at every other competitor around here. nyway, it seems a lot like false advertising to me if you have a 20-30% of clearance bin titles and you don't actually discount those 20-30%.
The only way I might find a deal is if I rummage through the bin and price check twenty to thirty games. But since I need a redshirt for that, and it''s the busiest day of the week for them, it's not worth the aggravation they'll give me. CC is notorious for having prices less than listed. But after the fith one scans at the same price as shown, the redshirts become much less cooperative.
