Maybe not the best forum, but I figure someone around here might know. My contract is up with AT&T and I was looking to get new cell phones for my family. I found what we all wanted on newegg.com and sent in my order. Along the way I got re-routed to cellstores.com. I figured Newegg probably just refers to them so fine, whatever. I get an email later today from wheresmystuff.comsaying they need a copy of both the front and back of my Social Security Card and a copy of my driver's license. This raised a bunch of flags to me, since they already have my social and I already have an account with AT&T (Though I am starting a new one since it's cheaper for the phones I want to just kill my old and get the new phone prices instead of upgrades). In the past I have had to provide my social when signing up for cell phone stuff but never copies of my physical documents. Is this the norm now or am I right to tell them to go to hell and buy elsewhere?
