Cheap Bond Boxsets

I am trying to find the 3 James Bond 007 boxsets as a birthday present for a friend that loves James Bond and doesn't own the sets yet.

Trying to find the cheapest deal on these. Any help would be appreciated.

I just thought about something wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy each of the DVD's seperately instead of trying to buy the boxset's. I wonder is all of the twenty James Bond films out on DVD by themselves.

Ok, here is the deal with the James Bond sets....

Normaly when they came out they were about $70-80. I have the first one myself, anyway....

The sets were discontinued last year, and are now really hard to find. The FYE near me did have all 3 but there were $125 EACH. way too much. The individual DVDs are also discontinued.

Since this has happened, Sony has bought MGM, who has the rights to Bond. Therefore, the belief is that Sony will be re-issuing the DVDs in the near future, most likely when the the next-gen DVD format starts being released to the public. Sorry to burst your bubble, but unless you chance upon them somewhere like Target (extremely unlikely) where they would be decently priced, you'll have to wait.

Last weekend one of the premium cable channels showed 17 Bond movies - so of course I had to burn them all. Not that it helps you though. A quick web search came up with nothing.

I can see Sony sit on this until it's time to use it to try and influence the choice of the next generation of DVD - related formats.

At last resort I will probably buy the sets used somewhere like Amazon.com.
