Cheap (used) CDs?

It'sMagneto

CAGiversary!
So most of my 8,000 songs in my music collection are MP3 format. However, I'm finding myself obsessed with sound quality and want only lossless rips. Problem is I own only about half the CDs in my library. The rest were either obtained though friends or family and their files were MP3.

In order to complete this massive undertaking legally I need to obtain the CDs for albums I don't own. AT $10 a pop this isn't feasible so does anyone know where I might find cheap used CDs? Local record stores are really hit or miss so I was looking for alternate places to buy. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going top try to fill out most of my collection by borrowing as many as I can though.

Also, I live in Central Jersey. More specifically Hazlet. (Middletown since nbody probably hasn't heard of hazlet)

I can link you to my amazon page and you can take a look around? We have a lot of CDs in stock. PM me if you want a link.

I recommend GoHastings.com. They have some CDs for really cheap, and frequent B2G1-type sales. (Others are expensive though.)

If you're ever in the NYC area, there are plenty of good places to go for cheap music.

What sort of music are you looking for?

sorry to hop on your question, but does anyone know a good site for cd's that are little rarer? i hate going to a used cd place finally finding a cd i want and it being like $12 used. so does anyone know a good place for cds like "selling England by the pound"-genesis "tales form topographic oceans"-yes, good jazz collections. hard to find prog like king crimson are particularly brutal. i finally found a used copy of "in the court of the crimson king" and it was $23.... for 5 songs....( i guess people don't sell them back often)

Try Amazon and Half.com.
I find a lot of my favorite cds on there.

Also if you have cds you dont like or old cds then try SwapaCD.com.
I trade in old and my folks cd for new cds.

Good Luck.
Also try your local library. I do that a lot.

CML, and send me a list of what you're looking for. I have a lot of CDs I'm looking to clear $2.50 from that are in nice shape; I also get more expensive stuff now and then which I'm flexible on (because of amazon fees, etc.)
