Cheap XBox 360 Games

Kevin3085

CAGiversary!
I don't care if they are used at Gamestop. It would be better if they were actually. I am going buy as many cheap ones as I can because I am finally going to buy an XBox 360 to go with my Wii! Please don't say bad games or say anything on EBay.

Definitely check out Target clearance end-caps regularly (esp. Monday after noon), although here PS3 titles comprise most of the clearance stock as of late.

What game genres are you into? It would help in suggestions.

Also, there are many CAG trade lists on here with brand new games (still sealed, hint) that can be had very cheaply. I actually prefer buying and trading with CAGs to gamestop. (90% of the time the games are in much better shape than gamestop and even with shipping CAG trading/buying is usually cheaper).

id wait till next week cause hopefully theyll follow suite and have a 25 percent of of xbox games, that plus edge is when the prices get cheapp

Prey $3.99 at GS if you are lucky
The darkness $8.99 same as above
DeadRising $29.99 new
The elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion $29.99 new

These are all games that came to mind, i could give you more but you should be specific about what genre you like. Also, GS will be releasing a new coupon on Friday, and most people think it will be 25% off used microsoft games so you may want to wait until Friday to buy anything from Gamestop.

$5-7
  • Gun (360 version) has been a Black Friday staple for $4.99 for the past couple of years and is definately worth playing (despite the slightly dated graphics).
  • Prey, FPS shooter with a Native-American twist.
$9-15
  • Condemned is a FPS/survial horror with an emphasis on brawling. It is genuinely scary, sometimes funny, and has a great psychological terror angle (definately play this one before Condemned 2). The pace of this game is slow, but in a very goodway, like a walk home though the graveyard.
  • Fight Night Round 3, best console boxing game thus far.
  • Crackdown is a thirdperson GTA style open mission style game, it caught a lot of flak at launch but I had great fun playing it. By the end of the game I felt like my guy was a super hero, it was very entertaining.
  • Lego Starwars Original Triology, The complete trilogy has this game clearancing at under $10 many places.
  • Monster madness (DL the patch, great game for the $9 IMHO)
$15-20
  • Dead Rising, DL the demo and then buy it.
  • Forza 2/Marvel UA combo disc. Two games super cheap. Buy it during a gamestop B2 G1 deal and you get four games for the price of 2.
  • Overlord.
$20-25
  • Bioshock is awesome, period.
  • The Orangebox- Worth every penny even at full price.
Cheap games to avoid:
  • Wartech (bought this for $5 new, played it at my brothers for an hour and nearly tossed it in the trash).
  • Project Slypheed, I know people who like this- but me, not so much.
  • Fantastic Four
  • Jumper (I got this for $9 at microcenter) time you cannot get back.
I am sure there are more in all catagories, I reserve the right to add to these suggestions at anytime (lol).

You forgot Eragon in the list of games to avoid. I actually suffered through it to get the achievements, what a mistake.

And to the OP, not to poach, but I have a bunch of cheap 360 games up for sale, if you're interested.

Eragon was bad, but serviceable as a button masher when acheievemnt hunting (they were easy).

Except for the the never-ending tower level. That just got tedious.

If your willing to sell with people on CAG, I'd be willing to sell you Halo 3. Great game, a lot of fun if you have a bunch of friends over or on XBL.

Other than that, I'd recommend getting Dead Rising ASAP. One of the reasons I wanted a 360, I love it.

Where?

EDIT: N/M, I just answered my own question. ;) If tomorrow's GS coupon is 25% off 360 games, I'm grabbing that one. Thanks! :)
