A great cheapass Xbox controller:

It's easy to miss, because it is listed under computers for some reason...

It's the corded version of the precision controller, new, for $9.50. Great controller, it is my every day use xbox controller (my xbox didn't come with a 1st party controller).

I also bought one of these for variety, but I make my friend use it and I use the precision pad:

Logitech Thunderpad for Xbox, for $9.51

Just some suggestions. I bought these with some filler and a $5/50 coupon a few months ago.

I did a search and no one appears to have posted it...although there was a thread where people spent $10.50... See also the 10% off buy.com purchases thread for extra cheapness savings, which made me think of this:

These are the best sub $9 controllers I have ever played. Especially the Logitech Precision controller - it's an awesome controller that is WAY better than most of the crappy cheap controllers. I don't normally like 3rd party controllers but the precision controller is great! Not surprising considering the reviews on the wireless version.

Remember there is free shipping over $25 (say, get 3 of them and use the 10% off coupon, or pad with something else).

is there any difference between the precision pad and the thunder pad? The thunder pad looks bulky, kinda like the original xbox controller.

The precision controller is pretty much identical to the wireless precision controller.

The Thunderpad is more like the standard Xbox controller. I think someone on an amazon review or somewhere said it was kinda like between a standard controller S and one of those first Xbox 'duke' controllers.

Personally I like the precision better.

Precision controller is awesome stuff. I like the analog sticks on them way better than even the S controllers. The L & R isn't as as good but it's still a really good replacement. I picked up 3 of theses when Dell.com was selling them for $7 each.

Thx for the thunderpad review link, I get FW blocked at work for IGN, etc.

So far I almost found myself liking playing FPS on analog sticks. Still no mouse, but they seemed to be very good analog sticks. :D
