Cheapest place to get a PSP core?

TheBigBoi

CAGiversary!
Greetings. I'm looking for the cheapest place to buy a PSP core system. I'm trying to avoid eBay, as I don't have a credit card. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

All I know is that Gamestop, EBGames sell used PSPs for $180.

Other then that they are all $200. Every now and then something will come up on a website such as coupons "save 10%" "save 12%" and you can get a PSP for about $180ish new, but if you don't have a credit card then you pretty much have to go to a store.. which are $200 for now.

If your not in any rush (and if you are looking for the cheapest possible, you should try and be patient) check your sunday paper every week. Check the Circuit City, Best Buy, Toys R Us, etc ad until you see some really good PSP deal.

Maybe nothing amazing will come out (such as the DS Lite bundle @ Toys R Us about a month ago), so I'd wait for around Christmas time. (That's what Im doing). Usually you will see really sweet bundles and possibly price drops. This Christmas things will be focused on Wii and PS3, but hopefully deals on the DSLite, 360 and PSP will be good :)

hang out at a gamecrazy all day long with 100 bucks in your pocket, when someone trades in a psp, tell them youll give them the 100 bucks instead of the 90 in credit. :p!!!

I would've never thought of that....good thinking.
U could go to your local grocery store or walgreens/cvs they have pre paid credit cards there.
Don't you have to pay a fee to get money on them though?

Well, being in Canada, we don't have any Walgreens or CVS, or any other stores that have a prepaid credit card. However, I might try that "wait outside game store with cash" deal.

That would deffinatly be the best deal. The only thing is if it didn't work or something. Ask to try it out first.

Who would/should I ask? The employees of the store?

Honestly?

I mean, how often you guys think people trade in systems? Even if you sat there open to close, I doubt you'd watch somebody trade in a PSP. But whatever mows your lawn.

Are you kidding me? My Gamecrazies and the two EBs by me are swamped with PSP systems, but they're still sold out of the DSLite.

If you ask the employees at Gamestop or EB if you can try and undercut their PSP trade-in prices with the customers, they'll tell you to piss off. All stores that do trade-in's like that have very strict rules about soliciting and will ask you to leave if you try. Seen it happen to a few people personally.

If you've got any pawn shops around you, try there. Going rate here for used PSP's is around $140-$150 loose.

I think whoever suggested that was joking. I hope anyway.

I believe a store would notice a person hanging out for 3-4 hours, thinking he was going to rob the place.;)

Manager: "Can I help you"?

customer: "no, just browsing".

id be pissed if I hung outside a gamestore for days and someone came up with a psp to trade and they laughed off what I was offering them and told me no simply cause people are like that.

Well, if I saw a really good deal, then I might ask my sister or someone to just use their credit card and I'll pay her/them back. Also, that Dell deal has expired.

I've got one in my TL
Sealed, bundled and ready to ship at $175 with no tax
(Probably $2-3 more if I were to ship to Canada)

And I take money orders :D No loonies though.

go to a bank.. put 200 dollars into a free checking account.. ask for a debit card.. wait 2 weeks get debit card go to said online retailer pay them.. problem solved..

I was at a pawn shop once and the pawn shop wouldn't take this guy's copy of Gun (as it had a little scratch on it) I offered him 5 bucks (the pawn shop probably would have given him 2 - 3 bucks maybe.. ) the guy laughed at me saying it was a 30 dollar game.. anyways.. i doubt trying to undercut someone at a game store unless you happen to be working there would work.

that's how I got one for a friend of mine's birthday, the extra pack or whatever, just without the box, but everything in a big bag, and she was so pleased it didnt cost 200 bucks, usually people are pissed by the trade in value, and some of them want cash which is less, and some gamestops dont even give cash for their systems.

EDIT: the guy didnt even care either, he just said, well go outside or off the camera view and do it, haha.
