CAGiversary!
Was recently looking at videos on youtube about how collecting games was getting harder and harder what with prices on ebay and craigslist and the lot getting pretty nuts for some systems. Which got me thinking which system is the cheapest to collect for and which is the most expensive?
Other than really obscure systems, Id say SNES and Sega Saturn are my answers for most $$$. Both of those systems have games that can get really pricey. SNES I think due to the huge nostalgia factor, and Saturn because its still to this day IMO one of the most ignored systems (no games getting remade or relaunched etc), so now people want to see what theyve missed.
Cheapest for me HAS to be the original xbox. you can get almost any game for this system for a few bucks (outside of maybe 5 or so). Not really sure the reason for this but maybe its because people dont see Microsoft as a nostalgic video game company.
Im really happy I bought almost all Gamecube games when Gamestop clearanced them out as those are also starting to get pricey. I love collecting for the PSone the most as that was when I discovered RPGs and there are many to play on that system.
Thoughts?
