I just received an RPG avalanche for Christmas. Help me decide which to play first!

XenoSaga 2
Kingdom Hearts
Lord of the Rings: Third Age
Baten Kaitos
 
I've never played any of the others except Baten Kaitos but I'm finishing it up now and am loving it. If you love playing your cube and looking for a graphically beautiful and intriguing game go for this one. The card system can be a bit of a turn off but Molonith helped make in deep yet simple. I'm am about to finish and should be clocking around 50 hours.
 
Kingdom Hearts is crap, and not a RPG at that. BK is barely a RPG. Xenosaga II is one of the worst games released in recent memory, especially if you played and loved the first one. And dammit, I actually really liked LOTR: The Third Age. It doesn't "innovate" in any way, but it's a good solid turn based RPG with amazing graphics and sound. And hell, it's a true RPG on the Xbox. That's saying a lot right there.
 
Damn that's tough...3 of my favorite RPGs (never played Third Age.) I'd go with XSII because it's probably the shortest and the story is the best. BK is kind of long-ish.
 
KH - because KH II is coming out this spring and got a 39/40 on Famitsu. Someone on the boards is playing the import version and has high praises.
 
KH is a great game if you're not 'too cool' to play with Disney characters. The combat isn't overly deep, but its not mash square and triangle like dynasty warriors. The Sephiroth fight is one of the most fulfilling boss fights I've played in a game.

Xenosaga 1 was great. Xenosaga 2 is really bad. The voice actors change, the story line was mangled, it has little to no flow from the epic ending of 1, the new robots come out of now where with NO explanation. Everyone just starts with a new robot. The combat is ok, I like the combo system. I killed a boss once without him even getting a turn.

Haven't opened BK yet.

LOTR is that one where its the 'not quite the hero clones that go to all the cool places from the movies just to please fans' right? I'll pass.
 
Kingdom Hearts is head and shoulders above the other three... Baten Kaitos is pretty good, but the other two are just average.
 
Thanks for the overwhelming response for Kingdom Hearts. I'll start it today.
After that, I think it will be XenoSaga (because I'm curious about the story), Baten Kaitos, then LOTR.
