Circuit City COD 4 and COD 3 for $31.80

Hey all-
I went to a Circuit City in Michigan yesterday to pick up COD4 with COD3 for free. The sales associate got me a copy of the game from the back and rang me up. After he rang up both games, the total was $31.80. He knew that this was incorrect so he called up another associate. The other associate had the same problem so he said "just give it to him". I quickly swiped my credit card and walked out with 2 Xbox360 games for $31.80. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

omg not again......

another repeat from yesterday CC's toxcity oozes their vile non-deals 2 days in a row. If I ever go into another CC I should have my wallet burned.
 
I'm guessing he rang up CoD 3 and discounted CoD 4 instead of the other way around. Anyway, nice score, OP. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a similar cashier when I pick up a copy of CoD 4 later this week.

There was a glitch in the system. A lot of people got both games for $30.
 
Good luck finding a copy of CoD3 I was there just after 2pm yesterday after hearing about this and they were already out of CoD3 MAGICALLY.... I hate CC I was only buying there cuz of this glitch. :D
 
By the time I got to CC, they were fully aware of the glitch and modified the prices so COD4 rang up $29.99 and COD3 rang up $29.99.

But since they were not rang up as a package, I'm pretty sure I can just return COD3 next week and keep COD4 for $29.99, which I may due if the rumors of COD3 being $8 at BB on black friday hold up.
 
By the time I got there yesterday, cashiers were no longer scanning CoD3 (supposedly the culprit in the glitch) and were just scanning CoD4 and placing CoD3 directly in the bag.
 
I don't mind paying the full $60 for both games. I just want both games. Yesterday I went to one CC and they ran out of CoD3 and wouldn't budge on offering me a different (but equal value) game and/or giving me a raincheck.

I went to a different one today and they were completely sold out. I guess it just isn't meant to be.
 
very few circuit cities have CoD3 in stock, I think. They're also very bullish about not giving rainchecks.
