Cleaning out the Cabinet of Doom part 2: more ebay auctions

GAH! I've been looking for the original platinum releases, as I only have vol. 1 and 2. I hate the think pak and I have the box to house em all.

I'm definitely watching this auction ;O

Yeah, I know someone's already bid, but I'm really interested in Volume 5 only. I have the rest of the series, but not Volume 5. Heck, maybe me and Inf^Shini could work out a deal or something?

@Shini and Z-Saber - you guys are certainly welcome to ask me any questions. I am hoping to sell Eva as a lot, but I can help you get the volumes you want. Individual volumes can be had fairly reasonably at local stores here. I saw 2 copies of volume 5. :)

@M-PG71C - There aren't any bids on it, and it ends Sunday morning. I hope the BIN has been set at a reasonable enough price... if you decide to go for Jump Superstars as well, let me know. If you BIN or win, come to me for your CAG discount.

Nintendogs is gone - BIN'd.

Nah, I would BIN on the spot. That's more than reasonble. However, I am trying to win Ganbare Goemon and I need all the cash I can draw up to outbid this user without breaking my account.

If it doesn't get bought out this Sunday and I end up losing Ganbare Goemon which ends on Sunday anyway, I will be more than willing to purchase it from you if you re-list it. :)

If you can get me Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum Volume 5 for a decent price, I'll easily buy it. RightStuf offers the rest of the series at a great price, but doesn't have Volume 5, so I'm sort of stuck without it and it's not cheap anywhere else.

If you don't want me cluttering up your auction thread, just PM me.

It's ok.

During my next shopping excursion (tomorrow, or Saturday/Sunday after work), I will check my local stores for volume 5 for you - to make sure it's still there. I believe it was $15.

Will do cost + shipping.

$15 + shipping (estimate please?) should be fine. That's slightly lower than the lowest I've seen so far on various websites.
I understand -- had to pool all my resources and then some for Pulseman, which I did win. Yay!

...hence the thread title.

Good luck.
LOL! I hear ya there. I'm hoping the person trying to outbid me dropped out. He hasn't done anything all day so here's hoping.

On the plus side, it seems somebody is bidding on Jump Superstars. Here's hoping it'll climb up to a decent price at the end of the day. :)

The high bidder for Jump Superstars appears to be smaaug, a fellow CAG.

Everything ends late tomorrow night/early Sunday morning, with the real spectacle being Evangelion.

Closing time
one last call for Evangelion
so finish your whiskey or beer

2 hours left in the main attraction; a little more than that for Jump Superstars, Street Fighter, and Sonic.

Jump Superstars is mint because it's hard to screw up a DS game.

Street Fighter III has 2 or 3 small surface scratches that do not affect gameplay. It was purchased from a local store and played in my Dreamcast twice.

Both are complete.

Worry not; some other thinpak hater might want Evangelion someday. Between local stores and evilbay, I might be able to assemble another set for someone.

Even though, sadly, no CAGs won my auctions (to my knowledge...), thanks everyone for your help.

I was able to pay my friends back for Pulseman.

Round 2 coming soon - possible complete Castlevania for all you complete GBA collectors out there... and more goodies from the Cabinet of Doom.

Second verse, same as the first.

Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance is complete, and Mario Party 4 is sealed.

Auctions end Saturday. CAGs get a shipping discount.

Thanks. I'm watching all of these myself in the hopes that they don't end up ridiculous.

If you win Contra Saturday night, let me know and I will give you an updated invoice with free insurance or a buck or two knocked off the shipping cost.

The only reasons I'm selling that Mario Party 4 is because I have given copies to my friends, have one left over, and its presence in the Kmart clearance is long gone.

There were volumes 6 and 7 at a local store... digging a bit deeper for 3, 4, and 5.

When I have found reliable places to get those, I will let you know and we will work out a nice, even deal.

Not to derail the thread, but those who are looking for more cheap anime and games, or at least a good belly laugh can check out auctions posted by a good friend of mine... you might notice something a little... odd about them:

Shini, I have both you and Z-Saber in mind every time I check out the anime stores. May take a while to get that volume 5 though. I'm sure there are some stones I've left unturned in the area.

*COMMON* is a potshot at people abusing the word "rare", putting it on everything from Tetris to Radiant Silvergun.

The refusal of Paypal is due to several bad experiences he's had.

He's a good guy -- done 14 trades with him on other sites.

I hate paypal as well. I only use it if there is no other alternative. Money orders are the best, no fees there for the seller :bouncy:

AND again, I miss the MP4 auction I was watching >.>

I should get a friggin' alarm for things like this...somehow it slips my mind...
