Clerks 2 *Spoilers*

CrimGhost

CAGiversary!
Way better than I expected, the part with Pillow Pants and Jays Silence of The Lambs dance were hillarious.

Those arent spoilers, these are

Dante is getting married, breaks up with her and marries his pregnant boss he secretly loves

As far as the movie goes, I think it was his best yet.

I loved the
racial slur, LotR quick summary, Pillow Pants, donkey show, pretty much any scene with Jay and Silent Bob, and the ass-to-mouth scenes.

What was the song called that Jay was dancing to from the commercials?

"Goodbye Horses", by Q. Lazzarus.

Totally hilarious. Smith's best movie since Jay&Silent Bob Strike Back. Cheap laughs, delivered with witty dialogue, coupled with stereotypical characters, all woven around a flimsy plot. But it all works, and in the end it entertains for about an hour an a half.

I went to see Clerks last night at midnight and halfway through it the movie got all fucked up so they gave everyone a free pass to come back and see it. :bomb:

I liked most of the movie except for the part where they go play on go karts (too long) and the dancers in front of the store. The dancer scene just didn't mesh with the rest of the movie which could of happen in real life unlike 30 people suddenly gathering and moving in sync with each other.

I have to go see this again. Much like J&SBSB opening night, there where so many times that the audience was laughing so hard(myself included) that I know things were missed. I had to have missed half of the Wanda Sykes scene due to so much laughter.

And for the record, there is only one trilogy !!!!!!
And for the record, there is only one trilogy !!!!!!
Your right, LOTR. Star Wars has 6 parts therefore its not a trilogy :p.
Way better than I expected
QFT. I went in with the lowest of low expectations, especially since J&SB SB was awful. Was shocked that it was really good. Maybe better than the first one...although if you hadn't watched the previous movie, it would hurt this film a bit.

KING fuckING DIAMOND having a song as a key point in the film! AWESOME!

Best part: Jay's "Get the fuck outta here!" near the beginning.

Porch Monkey 4 Life.

I'm probably the biggest KS fan on the board so I was super-psyched to see it yesterday, and it was definitely excellent, except for a few complaints

-The scene with the people dancing in front of the store was completely out-of-place and cringe-worthy (I mean yeah sure, it was supposed to be like one of those types of scenes, but still, come on, it was ridiculous)

-The camera-work seemed a bit too flashy at times

-Editing was a tad confusing in parts

-The music in some scenes really did not work very well

-Almost too much drama for Clerks, should have been slightly less

Still an excellent movie though, a solid 9/10 and probably better than the first.

Elias was great too, especially in the donkey scene

The only bad part of this movie was Rosario Dawson. She just overplayed the role, way too many over the top facial expressions and was just too emotional. There wasn't a laugh for any of her "jokes" either time I went to see it. I mean the guys who play Randall and Dante are not actors so when you toss someone who can sort of act in to the mix it just doesn't fit so well. Her scenes with Dante killed the pacing of the film (conversations were way too slow and drawn out).

The dancing scene wasn't that bad, I think you guys are just taking that part too seriously.

I thought she was excellent. She was way better then Keven smith's wife who played dante's girlfriend.
-The music in some scenes really did not work very well
I totally agree with that. Kevin Smith was better off when he had no money and had to use indie tunes. Does anyone EVER need to hear 1979 again? And why were Becky's scenes always punctuated by some schmaltzy after-school special music?

Otherwise, I really liked the movie. (and I'm going to help Randall take back porch monkey)
O RLY?
Do I smell a challenge brewing?

Because I'd totally kick your ass.

EDIT:
You know what, on second thought, you'd probably win.

Okay, I'm the 2nd biggest fan here.

I'm the biggest KS fan on this board. I'm 6'7. Guffaw!

Hey, it was funnier than the goddamn dance sequence. Although, so is getting kicked in the face.

Your new avater led me to my first internet double take. Bravo!

On a side note, during the donkey show sequence and when the movie ended, I actually felt proud of KS. Not sure why, but im just really happy for the guy.

I think I'll see it again before work tomorrow. Maybe I'll wait through the myspace list this time...

My buddy and I saw this last night and we laughed our asses off. I agree with the other poster... funniest movie of the summer.

fucking pillow pants and Lord of the Rings made me laugh so hard

Has anyone found a Kinky Kelly site yet? (is there one?)
If you want to make one, I'll moderate it.

http://cars2bots.com/ just goes to the VA site. Weak effort there.

I dunno, the first film had some fairly big name artists and it worked well (I can't ever hear "Got Me Wrong" without thinking of Clerks before anything else), but other than that I pretty much agree. Aside from King Diamond, the Clerks II soundtrack was really cliched sounding. Not enough to ruin a scene, but enough to distract.

Something I was just thinking of that would have been nice fanservice without ruining anything - there needed to be an appearance by Veronica. Walk in, see Dante behind the counter, mutter something, walk out.

I knew there was going to be no Brodie in this film, but I'm really annoyed that they never had Randal and his "cousin" interact in any of the films.

I wonder what RoboChrist transforms into.

Taking it back for my homies.

fucking hilarious movie, audience was cracking up the entire time , the small audience that is. Theater only had it on one screen and it was nowhere near full. All the same the Silence of the Lamb part had me rolling

Definitely an awesome movie. Just got back and I was laughing my ass off the whole time. One of my favorite movies of the summer.
You are aware that you're allowed to go see movies by yourself, no?
yes, but I am currently in a no car situation. So need someone to see it with to bum a ride with them.

thought it was alright, there was some jack ass behind me laughing at everything, even when it wasnt that funny.

it seemed too emotional and mushy, plus would it have hurt them to mention where did the 50k come from

funny overall, though there is no way someone like dawon would be with Dante.

Ohh and to WSB, I used to be the biggest KS fan, I have an actual Mooby shirt, a pic of me and KS, and autographed poster of him, dante and randall, and a JSBSB jacket.
