Club Nintendo Coins Question

So I have 400 coins right now. I want to get either the Zelda posters or the DS case. Do the coins rollover til I get Platinum status or do they reset once I get the DS case for example?

you'll have your coins for two years (or so, i think theres an expiration) but for measuring the level towards gold/platinum, the amount of coins you get in the club nintendo year count, even if you spend them.
so spend away but you have till the summer to get gold/platinum
