It would seem that Agetec decided that it wasn't the best idea to have L.O.L. be sold only through it's online store. I just came back from Wal Mart, where they have a section of cheap $10 video games now. Among them? About 20 copies of L.O.L.

So another potential rare DS game bites the dust.

Itll become rare again once it sells only like 200 copies in stores and they pull them out, L.O.L.

Glad I only paid $6 for mine

I've never seen this game at retail and I got my first copy at a small dinky WM.

I think what happened was that Walmart decided to buy a few 100 at discount to sell off, what better way to do so than at the largest chain of cheapass china crap.

I would be more worried if I seen them everywhere else too... but you don't.

It can still be rare, just not that rare, where else would they go if they have printed that many?

Not to mention, who knows if the stock they sent to WM arent the ones they had already or if they were newly manufactured. It is probably still rare.

Um... no. Once a game in this day and age goes mass market to the point where Wal-Marts, apparently across the country, have multiple copies each, it will never be truly rare. Considering that there are thousands of Wal Marts in the US and every one seems to have the game at $10 (along with a slew of other games, apparently the $10 shitty game section is a new feature to the store instead of a one-time thing) then it's rarety potential is shot. I checked all three local wal-marts, and each had between 12 and 24 copies of it.

So if there are a 1,000 Wal Marts and each has 12 copies of the game, that means 12,000 copies of the game floating out there. Of course, there's likely more then that.

The original print run of L.O.L. was only 1,000, give or take. 12,000 being more then 1,000 means that another printing has happened. And I also spotted new copies at Hastings at $15 a pop.

Scratch it off the rare list. Highest it will ever rank is maybe... MAYBE... a 4 out of 10.

Oh well. Never considered this a "rare" game anyways, not to mention it can only be played multiplayer too. And even with multiplayer its a really bland game. At least I only paid $6 for it. And FYI, 12,000 isnt exactly a very high number for games to be produced either. Given its not as rare as it used to be, its still a relatively rare game in the sense you cant exactly find it everywhere. But terrible terrible game ~_~.

I didn't really think it was THAT bad, but it's nothing that couldn't already be done with Pictochat and a firm set of rules for what you intend to do with it. Then again, I'm one of those rejects who would forsake video games altogether if I could find a group of people willing to play board games at any hour.

So we officially go back to Electroplankton having the smallest print run in the US. It's still likely not the smallest but no hard numbers have come out on anything else.

I've been to 4 WM and only one had 1 in stock.

I think this is still rare. 2 WM don't even HAVE a $10 spot... and 1 in in a capital city too.

Seriously, JUST WM isn't nation wide...

having it at KMART, BB and GS would consider it more nation wide.
I just saw it at Walmart tonight, is this any good?
it's nothing to rave over... probably worth 5... 10 is stretching it, but the rarity of the item is in question.

I've seen it at Hastings too, for $15.

The rarity is there, but is there a demand for the game? That will ultimately decide the price, and I have to say outside of major collectors (which I don't think there are many for the DS), this game will retain its low price.

No idea what a "Hastings" is.... still not national.

And I agree it won't get expensive rare, just for collectors, since the gameplay is multi only, really not much there.

But as for a reprint? no... I think they just sent out boxes to stores to get rid of it.

I dont think I have any Hastings within 50 miles of me either, lol.

Walmart is more "nationwide" than most stores. Over 7,800 stores (55% in the US alone)=4,290. #1 retailer in North America. Gamestop 6,066 total...4,264 in the US, Best Buy 973 (includes international), Kmart 1,365.

So theres more Walmarts than even Gamestop, and Walmart will more than likely carry more copies/have room for more copies than the much more limited area in a Gamestop.

Not sure exactly how outdated the Best Buy number is, but they are actually past 1150 stores including international. And your Gamestop numbers are off as well seeing how they have almost 5900 stores including international. In fact, all of those numbers are completely off. Where did you come up with these numbers, from 2007?

Point is, if this was a reprint, and they wanted to sell it, I would think that these stores that major in games would get priority.

And doesn't matter how many WMs... all WMs are different, thier stock is fucked up and these games could have ONLY went to a hand full of stores around the nation/world.

I know for one this game probably isn't being reprinted, and they shipped boxes to WM to get rid of them.

But why does collecting have to mean that its going to be worth a lot. Cant it just be collecting because its hard to find and somewhat rare? So its no Electroplankton. Still can be a "collectible".

It doesn't. And I agree with you. My jive is the turkey OP making it sound like LOL is going national and it's not rare or hard to find.

WM getting a few still doesn't mean it's like everywhere.

Hell... I wish more companies were open to their inventory, but I bet these went to some of the POOREST sections of the nation, that don't do normally well on games... since where I picked up mine, was the shittest WM around, while traveling to every other 4 WM plus a captial city one... ended up nothing in the radius of 50 miles.

I bet the company that made the game, selling the game online, sold WM for super cheap... maybe $2 each.. WM is sending these to the poor WM with $10 games and trying to pawn it off.

Not getting BB or GS or maybe even not seeing them anywhere else than 1 WM... or this "Hastings"...

This game is still Hard to find, close to rare to see in any retail spot.

And it's funny for the person buying 2... hilarious.

I was saying that getting a copy of L.O.L. will never again be a difficult task, and any potential of it being an upper-tier rare game (6 or higher on the scale) will never come to pass now.
