is there any FREE plans for the walmart or Netflix??

I joined BB Online and it just took 4 days for a movie to get to them 4 FREAKING DAYS. i saw an ad on tv that said 90% of netflix customers will get their movie in 1 Day and was wondering if that was true.

Best offer i seen so far is

NETFLIX 6 weeks for 17.99 at Best buy
Walmart 1 month free then 12.95 per month for 2 out at time

was wondering if there were any better deals before i try them cause im done with BB ONLINE probally. (going to call them up today and see what is going on... Anyone know shipping time on NETFLIX and Walmart..
Its going to be interesting to see if BB Drops their prices once again since WALMART DID

Heard rumor that starting in March/april They will allow you to return the DVDS to BLOCKBUSTER STORES so the shipping is even faster has anyone heard this

Well regardless, the selection from BB Online is crap compared to Netflix... unless all you normally rent is the likes of "Are We There Yet", "Dunston Checks In" and "Dude, Where's My Car".

And BTW my Netflix is usually a faster turn around than they expect (e.g. I got an email Tuesday about getting "The Grudge" Thursday, and it arrived YESTERDAY).

well It says they got their moves back today when i check at 7am its noon now and the next set of movies havent even shipped. I called them up and asked what is going on and get ahold of this. They said please allow 3-5 shipping days each way and up to 2 days after they get the returns to send out new movies. WHAT THE hell is up with this. it used to be 1-3 days and the new movies shipped as soon as the old ones got back in the data base.

The only good thing is the E COUPONS. I will take them to 2 stores this weekend and rent 2 movies for free

EDIT man i just found out the Spongebob movie comes out March 1 SO i will probally keep my BB account till then lol

Have you actually checked the selection of BB online or are you just assuming that it doesn't have one? There is yet to be one movie from them that I wanted and couldn't find. IMO, I feel that the 3 dollar savings over netflix and the 2 free rental coupons (good for games too, which seem to be rising in price all the time for rental) make it more than worth it to me.

I LOVE Blockbuster vs Netflix. Forget WalMart

Blockbuster seems to have most of everything I want in-stock. Netflix may have some of the RARER movies out there, but blockbuster gets ALL the new releases. For example, if a movie get's re-released with better quality/features....blockbuster will have it, Netflix will rarely have it (unless they fixed it)

Also, BB gives you the 2 free IN-STORE rentals. You can use them for games, which are $7 at my store. So, that's $14 saved there. BB is only $15/month also.

Delivery times for BB/Netflix were about the same for me. Usually 2-days at the longest for a DVD to clear my queue after I place it in my mail box. Also, when they ship a DVD, I get it the next day or day after.

I know everyone LOVES Netflix.....but I have no complaints with BB yet. Had a few mix-ups and delays, but nothing major....had those with Netflix also.

I've been really impessed with this. I was quite suprised to see that they actually carry a number of superbit versions of movies.
Go with Netflix. I mail on Monday and I have by Wednesday.
When my family first signed up with Netflix, the turn-around time was fairly quick, only 1-2 days, but as our membership went on for a few months, the service really began to slow down to where it regularly took 5-7 days to get a new movie back in the mail after sending in the old one.

Perhaps they were advertising a lot and getting more new customers than they knew what to do with, or perhaps they figured we were watching too many films and purposefully slowed our service. Either way, we got tired of the long waits and high prices (back when they jumped to $21.95 a month) and cancelled our subscription. We may try Blockbuster next just to see how its service compares.

Blockbuster has less of a wait time with with new releases...
I had Hero #1 in my NF Queue for a month when it came out and it never shipped. Blockbuster had it, King Aurthor and others the day they were released...

BUT! Blockbuster has 2-4 day shipping for me and I live right near a distrobution center... Netflix is a day both ways.

Half of my BB take more than 2 days to arrive and seldom come in 1. With Netflix, 95% is one day. The one problem I've had, I assume it got lost in the mail.

I signed up for the 2 week trial of BB not impressed with delivery time compared to Netflix. However the BB movie selection is not that bad, I tend to watch more main stream stuff than indie, and I think its harder to find main stream stuff at Netflix without waiting (and/or digging for it sometimes).

Delivery time is more important to me though as I can squeeze more movies in weekly.

For me, BB all the way! Had Netflix for a year and service and selection was great, but price was a bit higher than BB.
With BB, I get 3 movies a week, plus 2 free rental coupons I use towards games per month for $15! I really like BB! :bouncy:

Netflix is the way to go. I had a free one month trial for Blockbuster, but I cancelled my account after three weeks. Three out of the first four movies I got were scratched so badly they wouldn't play, and they managed to lose two other movies that I sent to them, and charged my credit card until I called and asked what the charge was for. All of this inside three weeks. I've used Netflix for eight months and I still haven't had as many scratched or lost discs as I did in the three weeks I tried Blockbuster. I haven't tried Wal-Mart, and from what I've heard about them, I don't plan to.

I had been considering switching to blockbuster since there is always such a long wait on new releases at netflix. But since I am in Kansas I know I'm probably going to get horrible turn around time for Blockbuster's service, maybe I'll try the free trial in a 3-6 months when they have had time to (hopefully) bolster the amount of distribution centers

dont help if you leave near a distribution center. Im just 2-3 hour away from one and it takes 3-4 days each way

I tried both BB and NF w/ the two-week free trial. Netflix turn around was quick, they would ship, I would receive the next day. BB would ship, I would receive in two days.
The benefit BB has, is that they ship your next selection as soon as the ones you sent back are in the postal system (NF waits until they receive them). In the two weeks I received 15 movies from NF and 12 from BB (plus 2 free rentals). In the end, I stuck with NF because they are local, I may cancel at the end of the month and go back to BB. I am trying walmart's 30-day free rental now, but after 4-days, still no movies.

I have just recently finished a 2 week trial with Netflix and now I'm on my third week of a 4 week trial with blockbuster. Here are my findings:

Netfix is much faster approx 1 day each way. But, their new release selection is limited (they seem to be out of the new releases for at least a week).

Blockbuster is slow. It seems like it takes 3-5 days to receive my movies. But, their New Release selection is much better and they have sent new releases out within a day or two of them coming out. Plus you get the 2 free In-store rentals with Blockbuster which are nice for games which cost $6.95 each here.

For me Blockbuster is better because I want the new releases. All the old ones I wanted to see I have already seen. Plus the extra in-store rentals are great.

I do plan on canceling my trial with blockbuster in a week and trying Wal-Mart. What the hey, it doesn't cost me anything. I am also hoping that by canceling Blockbuster they will invite me back for a couple more weeks of free rentals. This is YMMV but I have heard of them doing for others. Of coarse I will probably go back to Blockbuster after my Wal-mart trial.

Also, is it true BestBuy is doing this as well?

PS Don't forget to try Gamefly for 2 weeks free.

Having used all 3(yes all 3) I would rank it like this. Walmart seemed to be the quickest, Netflix 2nd, but Blockbuster gives you those 2 monthly coupons. So I would say either BB or Walmart.

I love Netflix. Movies are shipped quick- I always get my movies either the day they are scheduled or earlier. And it only takes 2 days for my returns to get there. Great selection of movies, particularly anime.

Unless of course you want an anime new release, I've been waiting over two weeks to get Gungrave 4. Sure it says available now, now, was the same way last weekend, then by the time monday rolls around it will be "very long wait again"

I'v been with Netflix at least 7-8 months and I still don't have a problem with them

This is true. But if you mail in your movies on Friday or Saturday they usually ship out the new releases on Monday, you just have to time it right.

I've had Gungrave 4 in my Q for about a week already but I still have movies out so they havent sent it yet. It says Short wait. Ive heard somewhere that if you participate in rating the movies you rent they ship movies to you faster. Dont know if its true or not though.
