Congressman reveals on CSPAN that we were within hours of global economic collapse

LOL.....we "were within hours?" We still are. We are still on the edge of collapse, all it will take is a slight breeze to push us off the cliff.

Apparently there is a 'switch' that's part of what is so interesting about this story. Apparently the Fed monitored all these money market accounts getting drained and froze them. That's somewhat eyebrow raising, at least.

And we were really close to a bird flu outbreak, and we were really close to the y2k bug breaking the world. There are always things that are threats or perceived as threats. I bought some extra food awhile back as a just incase and have scaled back my wedding in September and still have watched spending on games and other stuff. But overall I am done with this whole panic thing and you guys and the media are seriously just making this so much worse.

The government is going to do what the government is going to do and unless we are willing to stand up and fight a revolution there aint shit we can do about it. They are going to spend money on some great things like rebuilding schools while wasting money on the dog parks and stupid mall shit. They are going to drag their feet on important things till we are close to collapsing then turn around and rush a hack me last minute solution which does long term damage.

And if they drag their feet too much then ya we might have a collapse.....but I dont think anyone knows what a modern day collapse will be like. Will it mean chaos and war? Will it mean the government sweeps in and seizes control of banks, grocery markets and many other businesses to try and save us all? Will they sweep in like that with another motive to make us a socialist state or push the illuminates hidden agenda!?!?! Frankly I really dont care anymore. The last several years of reading tons of newspapers, political websites, foreign affairs and anything else relating to politics and government has taught me 1 things. Its better to be ignorant and happy and just do the best you can in your own life.

I think no one hear will admit it but I think many people into politics are enjoying the crash of finacials. Your using it as an excuse to run around pushing a message of the left or the right and both sides to talk about how fucked things are and get swept away in the craziness when you should know damn well better as educated people.

I can't help but find amuzing how just terribly paranoid Americans either are or seem to be (mind you, all I know is what I see on the news, so understand that however you want to) completly in panic about this whole economic meltdown things.

Living in a until yesterday underdeveloped country who was one of the most risky places to invest in the world. But you know what? We kept living, and now we are actually doing ok. So, don't worry too much about crisis, they come and go. Now, if everything is going to be ok soon, why worry so much? And if everything is going down the toilet, why worry so much?

Anyway, I'm a big Dave Ramsey listener, and I think all the worried people down there should pay attention to him. I think debt is not only the cause of all of United States, Europe, Japan and the rest of so called Developed world, but also, the cause of worry and despair at a personal level.

As a last statement, do try to do like brazilians: grow (or not...) DESPITE whatever the shaqfu the men in power are doing, not BECAUSE of them.
