There's no probably about it, he definitely just copied it to the hard drive. I'll be very surprised if any CAG buys a used copy of this game for $45 plus shipping. You could get this brand new for cheaper than that. At the very least you could use a GGC at Best Buy and get it for $45. I don't normally threadcrap, but trying to sell a used game that you just admitted to copying for $45 on these forums is ridiculous.

Sucks is a relative term, since there's plenty of reviews that have been positive and fair about some of the issues with it. Currently gets 81 on Metacritic.com , which is above my threshold to get it. I already own it, so I'm covered there.

Why didn't you just say that you didn't like and wanted to sell it? The little coy routine of "let's just say I don't NEED the game anymore, lol" does nothing more than make people curious to why you don't want it. Yes, some of us made the leap of faith to presume that you pirated it, since you were being coy about it. Again, you thinking it sucks is an opinion, others may not have the same opinion.

shipwreck does have a good point, Fry's has it for $40 (I think I've seen it at that price from another thread), and BB would have it for $45 after GGC, so most people would pick the new & sealed copy, since your price is $45 + shipping . If it was $35 + shipping, which would net you $37-40, shipped, then people might be a little more interested, if you were looking to sell it.

If you really want to sell it, be a little more descriptive. Tell people why you're selling it, and don't beat around the bush. If you didn't like it, say you didn't. Otherwise, people might think you stole it, pirated it, or something else.
 
You won't get any offers for $45 plus shipping..that makes it to about $50...which is what it retails for. All you are really savingt themis tax and there gas...Now, if it was like $40 shipped, or $42 shipped...maybe....But still.

I still think he pirated it. He probably thought he could just buy it, copy it, then sell it for cheaper than renting it. There's no reason to be afraid of people thinking this game sucks when it is a brand new release that a lot of people already know they are going to like. Just take it to eBay and get most of your money back.

If stores let me get another copy of a game because my manual is messed up (which I do a lot, a beat manual on a brand new game is unacceptable) I'm sure they would let you return the game...

Yeah, but you sound like you're exchanging for the same item. If he brought Conker back, I don't think he's gonna want another copy of Conker. And it's pretty much default store policy across the board to not exchange open items for a different item.

I went to Best buy looking for a home theater system--40% off open box items--ask me if you want the info, or maybe I"ll post it in the deals forum.

I knew it was coming out, so I thought I'd go and see if it was in stock. I usually never buy retail, but I thought it would be sweet (LAN multiplayer and whatnot). But, after my buddies and I played it last night, we decided we would probably never play it again with halo 2 and 2 TVs.

THAT'S why I'm selling it--asking price was prob a little too high, so how's $43.00 shipped?
 
also--does everyone here forget about tax? It was 53.something...that has to be taken into consideration!

Plus, when they give you the replacement item, they'll open it in-store in front of you, so you can't return the sealed replacement item for something different.

No you can't return it once it's opened. you can always try. just tell the best buy people that you popped in the disc and there was granny porn on it.

$43 shipped sucks ass considering a lot of people here sell used games for much cheaper and everybody here knows it can be had for cheaper than that in a matter of time. and your excuse also sucks, you burned it and we know it. ;-)

Its a coupon you print off bestbuy.com. It takes 30% off open item prices, which are discounted 10% already making the total discount 40%. You can get an additional 15% off open item TVs.

Nevermind... found it. Can't use the coupon on open box computer stuff like monitors (which is what I wanted), so meh to that.
