Constitution destruction Act of 2005

CAGiversary!
don't know how this slip under the radar with a "liberal" media but this is beyond the pale.
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:S.520.IS:

...the Supreme Court shall not have jurisdiction to review, by appeal, writ of certiorari, or otherwise, any matter to the extent that relief is sought against an entity of Federal, State, or local government, or against an officer or agent of Federal, State, or local government (whether or not acting in official or personal capacity), concerning that entity's, officer's, or agent's acknowledgment of God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, or government

Basically the Constitution Restoration Act of 2005 seeks to limit judicial powers specifically in religious cases. Futhermore the wording is so vague "any matter" that the potential for abuse is huge. F**K these guys. No respect for the US constitution, no respect for check and balances, no respect for the 3 branches of government. While congress does have the authority to limit appellate jurisdiction. , It cannot do this in contradiction to the first amendment.

This is some serious shit man...I hope my history teacher doesnt hear this or im not going to be learning much in class for the week. Who is this guy who introduced it?

Wow, that bill is so completely fucked up that I had to do research to see if it was actually true and not just an urban legend. Sadly, its quite true. In answer to the previous question, there are 3 sponsers:
Richard C. Shelby - Republican, Alabama
Sam Brownback - Republican, Kansas
Richard Burr - Republican, North Carolina

If anyone out there was considering suicide, could you do me and the rest of the world a favor and put a bullet into one of the above person's head before you do? Thanks.

Burr is a total jackass. He won solely on him mimmicking the smile of W and pointing out Bowles worked for Clinton like 12 years ago.

How someone so far on the right beat someone in the middle is beyond me, especially when he looked like a complete buffoon in the debates and could not make one intelligent remark other than he was a christian and wanted to support the sanctity of marriage (something both candiates agreed on).

It would be pretty hard to find a worse person than Burr to represent NC
But could the courts declare this to be unconstitutional?
Not only could they, but they definitely would, so this would never get enforced even if it were to pass (which I doubt).

Bush has already been doing this. He has threatened that anyone who rules against what he belives will be fired.

They can't rule on gay marriage, saying the pledge in school, and some other shit.

Wish that garnade went off.. damnit....

I do like how they call it "Restore". The "right" wing being all hicks from the south don't understand that restore and destroy are two very different things.

Perhaps you are under the misconception that Bush can fire judges. He can't.
