Hey-ohh!!

I have 2 codes for Club Nintendo up for grabs. One is for Pikmin & the other is for Excitebots. Both are the New play control versions for Wii of course. The best part is they are 50 points each in case you want to work your way to Platinum status or get a reward off club nintendo's site.

This contest is set up to have 2 winners.

So here's what I will use to determine the winners: A question

In 5 sentences or less tell me who you think should be the main villain in the next Batman movie, who should play him/her and why?

I'll choose the 2 best answers based on my liking and will PM 1 code to each winner. Winners will be chosen by Saturday night sometime.

Thanks to everyone who contributed....the 2 winners I chose are:

Space Cowboy YGI & Interstella 5555

well if no one wants the codes ill take them both and as for a villain im gonna go with the riddler to really test batmans detective skills and the actor should be david tennant bacause hes said he would want the part and he was the best doctor who

Two-Face

After Harley Quinn he is my favorite one of Batman's enemies. He's basically a thug who commands other thugs to do his dirty work, but he has done a fair share himself. Harvey Keitel should play him, because I can imagine that is actually what he looked like before he (Two-Face) got messed up. Also, they could sell the "Exclusive 3-Disc Edition" with a replica coin.

Clayface

Clayface is one of the villians in the batman series that rarely sees any action at all. While powerful and strong he also has a really interesting backstory as well. With these attributes, he would make a great vilian in the movie franchise. I would select Brad Garrett to play him as well. While Brad may not seem logical, take into account his statue (ie height) and his voice, and covered in clay making him an excellent choice!

Side note: What games are the codes for? I may have possibly registered them and might not be able to use them. In that case I would forfeit any chance of winning to give someone else a shot.

Let us consider what has happened in the two batman movies part of the re-imagination of the franchise.

Ra's Al Ghul, The Scarecrow, The Joker, and Two Face have all been accounted for. With that said- I wanted the Joker to be in the third Nolan directed movie, but with Ledger's passing- I wouldn't want that anymore. I thought his performance was suburb. Anyway, with all of that taken into account- I liked the Penguin and Cat Woman characters a lot. I think that they can be modernized and very unique as part of the re-imagined series. If I had to choose a single villain though, probably Cat Woman. In my book, Nolan is two for two- and that is awesome. Out of the other four Batman movies- the final two were not so good. While I love Uma, Poison Ivy was lame.

The Scarecrow.

Reason: Have you seen the guy and what he does in Batman: AA?!

About anyone with a good voice and skinny build can play him.

I think one of the next villains should be Catwoman and she should be played by Jessica Biel. I always thought the interaction between Catwoman and Batman to be quite fascinating. She's really the only one of his opponents that never really seemed to fit in as a real villain. Although I envision the interaction between the two to be more of a romance story, so I don't think you could cast her as the sole villain in the film without irritating the fans.

Where as The Joker challenged Batman by bringing Chaos into the city the Riddler is the opposite, he represents order and logic. Rather than a low-key burglar like the Catwoman, sideshow like the Penguin or attack on the movies' established "this could happen" reality like Clayface - the Riddler fits in as a nemesis who easily fits in the universe and as a true threat weaved easily into the story. Bombings, murders, theft...all left with a series of clues that the police can't decypher - it leaves the city needing Batman, though still distrusting him, it allows him to become accepted as the city's hero once again. I would actually say Jim Carrey would be a great choice for the role. His last attempt at the role was terribly campy but that was early comic-man Carrey, I feel that films he's done in the past few years have shown a more serious and twisted side to him that would help establish a Riddler who is conflicted, psychotic and absolutely a threat to Batman.

How bout Anarky and the riddler. You couldn't have Anarky by himself because most people don't know who he is. Also The next big boss that would be possible to pull off without making it look fake is the Riddler. As far as who should play Anarky it would have to be a teenage actor not sure who though. Maybe Conner Cruise because his dads has surely taught him to be physchotic. But Anarky and the The Riddler could work together to make a difficult tag team to defeat.
Thanks to for giving away the points.

Zsasz played by Tim Booth

I too would have liked to see Joker return, but with Ledger dying I don't think it'd be as good. But to stick with the crazy/insane main villian, go with this guy

I'd have to go with Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. I think that Batman: Arkham Asylum could have done something with that but dropped the ball on it (even though Harley let Ivy out of her cell). We've had Poison Ivy before, and Uma Thurman is usually great, but Batman & Robin was terrible. Harley and Ivy episodes of the Batman animated series were awesome, and a movie could only be more awesome.
Plus they're hot, so they have that going for them.

Superman. C'mon, we all want to see them duke it out. I think Batman could have a fighting chance if he had time to plan ahead and access to kryptonite. Danny DeVito should play Superman, because that would instantly launch the movie to so-bad-it's-hilarious territory. Lol, it's not like it'd be the first Batman movie he's been in...

I would also love to see Catwoman, possibly even played by Megan Fox. It would be great to see a more sexy element get added to the next Batman movie. An interesting twist would be if Catwoman was actually not the real villain (since most would whine and complain anyway), and was actually working for someone like The Joker or Hatter, just trying to get close to Bruce for his needs. It would be an interesting development, for sure.

The Joker again and get Mark Hamell in there to do it, with all the make-up and cg they can do these days, they could probably make him look almost like an older heath ledger. If not Joker than most definatly the Riddler and he would have to be played by Johnny Depp. Either one would be awesome.

Besides the bizarre Joker and vengeful Two Face, The Riddler is another mysterious villain with the right weapons. What makes The Riddler so interesting in the Batman universe of villains is that he confuses the enemy - and allies alike - with puzzles and riddles (as his name suggests). As for who should play this ruthless villain, I’d say Jim Carrey should once again step into the shoes of The Riddler as he portrayed the comic book version very nicely.

The next main villain should be Ra's Al Ghul with Laim Neeson reprising the role. I'm not so sure there'll be a 4th Christian Bale/Christopher Nolan Batman so why not finish what was started in the first film.... unless the Batman Begin's Ra's Al Ghul has no way to come back to life.

If they wanted to step outside the box, the next villian should definitely be BANE (played by Vin Diesel). Would love to see Diesel and Bale go at it (and Bane breaking his back)!!! End it on a perfect downer (ala The Empire Strikes Back). This would be a perfect setup for an Azrael/Dark knight spin off (and thus, releasing Bale and Nolan from their Batman duties for a few years).

Then after the spinoff(s) and other Batman supporting character movies, have Bale and Nolan team up again 7-10 years later and finally do THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS (Frank Miller) to end the movie franchise.

IMO, Batman:TDNR is the final Batman story ever told (I don't pay attention/nor care about all the others...sequels, parallel universes, etc). Masterful storytelling and art from beginning to end. The Bruce Wayne/Batman story ended there.

The Riddler.
They already hinted at it in the dark knight I think.
It could be like an emo die hard movie lol

bane is kind of old now but possible. It would be a ripe time to introduce the spolier and her arc with the black mask. "gang war" would make an awesome 3rd movie...

I personally think the Riddler would be the best choice for the next Batman villain, and Johnny Depp should be the one to play him. Director Christopher Nolan said himself that he want didn't his Batman villains to be too supernatural (ex.Clayface, Mr. Freeze, Man-Bat, ect), so if were going with that, Riddler should be the next one hands down. Catwoman would be my next choice; honestly I don't know who should play her, a lot of people like Angelina Jolie, but I'm sure there's a better choice for that role.

I vote for Joker (primary villian), Harleyquinn (secondary), and Catwoman (secondary) all in the same movie. Why should the next movie focus on a completely different bad guy when the Joker is by far everyone's favorite? While I'm sad Heath Ledger is gone, I feel the Joker should be given more screen time. I vote Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck from BSG) or Gigi Edgley (*cough* no bias there) as Harleyquinn, Angelina Jolie as Catwoman, and no idea for the Joker.

The Riddler should be played by none other than David Tennant, current, and soon to no longer be, star of Doctor Who. I believe Tennant as the Doctor shows an almost ideal behavior for someone as the riddler. very light-hearted and playful at many times, but commanding and dark at others. Tennant is such a great actor that he was chosen for the role of Hamlet, in the most recent production put on by the Royal Shakespeare Company's production, alongside Patrick Stewart.

Examples: It's decent out of context, but amazing if you've seen the entire special. This is from The Waters of Mars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8Od9pbI0TU

This is a particularly creepy scene from Secret Smile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoUdPin-dhU

and from the film production of Hamlet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6cCaYoDz-Y

The Joker needs to be brought back. Why? I know people say Ledger's performance is insurmountable, but if they do not use the Joker for the next film there won't be a chance to bring him back ever. People will hate Batman 3 for it, but it's a necessary sacrifice. Once they don't bring him back for 3, that arc they did in Dark Knight can't be used again. They obviously can't retcon it, because everyone will be pissed. But if they just throw him in the 4th movie, people will wonder what he was doing in the time of the third film. If the Riddler causes chaos in Batman 3, the Joker would be helping him along.

Nolan will never use the Joker again outside of flashbacks,
because no matter who they'd get to play him, fans would automatically hate it

I vote Space Cowboy gets one. His idea is very well thought out. Great idea for the spin offs. The only problem is I don't think they could have a 7 year layoff. They need to do the final movie before Bale goes over the edge and nobody wants to work with him. I don't know about Vin though, not a big fan but he has the physique for it.

I think for the 3rd movie of Batman it should be, Harley Quinn played by Hayden Panettiere. The Riddler by James Hugh Calum Laurie (Hugh Laurie). And Prometheus played by Robert Downy Jr. I feel that the first and 2nd Batman movies were so great and had a huge impact on the city of gotham. And since sadly the actor playing The Joker passed away, I feel for the 3rd movies sake Harley Quinn should come into play to add on to the Joker's character. The Riddler would be a great mastermind to match wits with Batman. And Prometheus would be an awesome addition to the evil in gotham by fighting against all law enforcement.

I would like to see Zsasz (played by Ben Foster) and Riddler (played by Johnny Depp) be the villains. Zsasz's story would work perfectly in the darker series. A demented man who came from riches but now kills (refering to each of his targets as zombies) and marks himself with a tally for each one. Than we have the Riddler a narcissist who deals with Batman on a psychological level. Both mixed would make a really awesome movie.

The next Batman movie would have to start where The Dark Knight ended, with Batman being the "villian". Clayface ends up shapeshifting into Commissioner Gordon and have full power in trying to capture or destroy Batman. That would set up other villains in the movie just by calling them a special task force.

If we're going to have a female villain in the next Batman movie, it should obviously be Poison Ivy. Harley Quinn could only work with the Joker and I think it's too soon to bring him back. I think Emily Blunt should play her: she looks like her and was the frontrunner for Black Widow (another redhead) but couldn't do it because she was doing another movie. I think Poison Ivy is a pretty popular villain and Nolan could do some interesting things with her as well.

hmm this is a hard one I have 2 villains I would like to see in this movie. the first one I would like to see is Catwoman, since Batman is realistic this would her a realistic character as well. I would love to see one of 2 people play her. Either Zooey Deschanel or Zoe Saldana playing her. Basically because before like all other character you know know how other people would play her and these two women could bring something new.

The other character would be Black Mask. This is tricky but I would like to see someone like Hugh Laurie play him because again you don't know how he would approach the role. but I think he would make a good Riddler as well.

I don't really care, because I didn't need the points and I already have those games registered, I was just going to give away my code if I won, but seriously? Johnny Depp as the Riddler and Vin Diesel as Bane?? Those are the winners?

I'm not going to bitch too much about Depp, because he is a good actor, but it's just a little predictable and doesn't show much thinking outside the box. You just hear the recommendation for matchup a little too often.

But Vin Diesel as Bane???? WTF. Vin Diesel is a retarded Chimpanzee. He is terrible in almost every film he takes a role in, a few standout titles aside. BAH, I spit on your choice sir.

^Its not so much the actor(I agree Vin Diesel is TERRIBLE) But its the idea of Bane breaking Batman and I can't imagine anyone else playing Bane.

Well to defend my decision I still think Johnny Depp to be the perfect choice for the role of The Riddler. Sure he's the popular candidate to play the villain but is that a bad thing? I usually do think outside the box, when it comes to who should play what, but I really think Depp is the ideal choice for the role, there are very few I can think of to fill the shoes, but Depp definitely takes the cake for me. If we think about it strategically if Warner Bros. were to invest into something as big as Batman not to mention a follow up to The Dark Knight, they're going to want a well known star to play the villain. David Tennant is a great actor no doubt, but I can tell you the majority doesn't even know who he is, so the appeal isn't there. I'm sure you know that movie trailers are what sells movies these days, so if they were to see the main villain played by generally unknown actor it's not going to have a big of an impact. However if they see Depp playing him, shit goes bananas. It may sound superficial but that's the world we live in.

I mean we all know Johnny Depp can act, you said it yourself. He's one of the few actors who has a wide range of acting talent. Guys love his style and girls swoon over him, if you couple that with the rest of the cast of TDK you got a recipe for excellence (just thinking of Gary Oldman and Johnny Depp doing a scene together is exciting). Also we haven't really seen Depp play a villain in his films, so it would be interesting to see what he'll pull for the role, I think he's got great potential to follow up on Heath Ledger's Joker.

I wouldn't be surprised if Christopher Nolan does cast Tennant though. I've noticed most of the people he cast for his movies are from the U.K.

Oh yeah, Vin Diesel should never get close to anything near Batman. EVER.
