Win a GBASP and a copy of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Contest ends Nov 3/03
That contest is a SCAM. Here is a quote from the official rules:

"LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, REGARDLESS OF MEANS OF ENTRY. ENTRANTS' WHO OPT-IN CONSENT TO BEING PLACED ON A MAILING LIST FOR PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS."

So basically you have to sign up to recieve spam to enter the contest. If you don't sign up on their mailing list you can't enter.

you gotta chill out with spam stuff Scrub, like i signed up for that Canon Camera thing and havent got any spam, so no worry there. but in my opinion, what contest doesnt want you to sign up for the sponsor?

I try to find contests that have little or no strings attatched. Not to mention that I am just trying to help people out by warning them about possible spam or other bad stuff that might happen.

Believe it or not a lot of contests out there are just scams to get your info.

Pepsi is having a "Caps for Caps" contest where there is a NFL team name under bottle caps of 20 oz Pepsi products, match 2 of the same team and you get a free NFL hat from the team of your choice.

Since we are cheapasses, possibly we can work out a trading scheme where there is mutual benefit. Odds are listed at 36:1 once one cap is obtained. 1 Million prizes are being awarded.

Anyone esle taking part of this? So far I've gotten one pair, and a number of B1G1 soda offers (thanks in part to the caterers for office lunches use pepsi exclusively).

If anyone is wanting to start up some type of trade circle, it seems like we should be getting enough caps to do so now.

My singles collection now includes- Redskins, 49ers, Jaguars, Lions, Giants, and I think I got a Bucs, but I'm not too sure.

It's not really a contest, but you send in an email and if they like your "Food dilemma" then they will come to your house and show you how to cook whatever dish or style of food you are having problems with. It's a cool show and the host (chef Tyler), is really cool.
Got a food emergency? Tyler will be shooting Food 911 in some or all of the following cities in winter, 2004:

-Miami
-Orlando
-New Orleans
-Dallas
-Austin
-San Antonio
-Phoenix
-Albuquerque
-Las Vegas
-San Diego

If you live within fifty miles of one of these cities, and want Tyler to help with your food dilemma, please e-mail Food [email protected]. Be SURE to include the following:

Name

Gender

Age (give or take)

Complete mailing address (Street address, city, state, and zip code)

Phone number(s)

E-mail address

Food emergency: Write a paragraph or two about your food emergency. Be sure to mention any fun and relevant information about your family, friends, real cooking disasters, ethnic background, neighborhood, kitchen, or anything else you think makes your story exciting.

What?s next? Just sit and relax. We review all emails, and if your food emergency is selected, you'll receive a phone call from the Food 911 team. Please keep in mind that we get a lot of responses, and we can?t produce them all. But if you think you?d enjoy being on the show, give it a shot!

Please note that the information collected above will not be shared with anyone outside the Food 911 production unit.
