Costco Blu-Ray and HD-DVD for 18.99 each

I was working today and on my break I noticed that Costco got a new shipment of Blu-rays and also added HD-DVD to the library in stores. Im guessing the selection of movies and warehouse that holds either format is YMMV. I they were all 18.99 a piece for each movie ranging from 300, Blood Diamond, Full Metal Jacket, Blue Planet (IMAX), the old Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, Casablanca, and many more I cant remember. Costco also had 4 different type of blu-ray "value packs" that cost 84.99 for 4 movies in a preselect box; I remember the Guardian, both Pirates, Pearl Harbor, Invincible being mixed up in some weird order. I dunno. Go check out the nearest Costco near you. I couldnt believe the prices. First post btw so im sorry if i neglected some sort of forum rules.

I saw this thread yesterday and stopped by my local store on the way home. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with what I saw...

There were the typical split boxes of DVD movies everywhere. Among them, Blu-Ray had 3 of them, with the 4-in-1 box sets, and then a few individual titles... nothing too good, even though I didn't own any of them. All were $18.99. Same price on their HD-DVD's, though they only had 1/2 a box with all of them slammed into it. The only title I considered was Blood Diamond, but it $18.99, it's more than what it was on sale at launch... so I passed.

As for 300 HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, no dice. Not at $18.99, or any other price. And the 300 DVD 2-disc set they have sells for $20.99, so I'm not sure how the HD versions could even be less. Which is too bad, as I'd definately picked up the HD version at less than $20. :(
 
I'd love to get 300 for under $20, but my costco didn't have it. They did have quite a few hddvds and blurays for $18.99, but nothing I had to have. I wish the prices on brd and hd would drop faster. I was temped by the amazon deals, but I'm more of a b2g1 at gamestop/ebgames kind of guy.

I didnt see shooter but I shit you not I saw it on Blu-ray and Maybe HD-DVD at my walmart for 18. and some change. But YMMV on that even cuz of paramounts discontinue or whatever. Good Luck! I wish I bought it when I could! And Also! I was walking on lunch again today and noticed they pulled the 300 titles; when I asked my supervisor why he simply told me that they have it higher priced on the costco store so their going to keep it that way for a little bit.
