Ok, I guess this could fall under the category of Cheapass Grocery Shopping. I used to work for a food brokerage and ended up with a whole stack of coupons for free jars of Thomson Berry Farms Preserves. There is no other purchase required and they expire March 2005.
I tried to list them on eBay, but there is a limit of 2 per auction (for free items with no other purchase required). I would try and relist them with crafty wording, but apparently the people that sell in the category are real bastards and get you shut down fast. I got 75 of these things and don't feel like listing 37 auctions.
The preserves come in a variety of flavors (cherry, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry rhubarb, etc.) and the stuff retails for over $3.00 a jar.
I got over $200 worth of coupons for this stuff!
Any suggestions for getting rid of these? The stores around here don't carry it.

I know this is pretty lame, but what the hell?
You could always give some away here!
That seems to be the best option. I just want to make sure that whoever wants them knows their local store carries it.

Although it won't be feasible to send one coupon to 75 different people and end up paying $27.75 in postage.

Not in this situation.
I used to represent this company when worked for the food brokerage. My position with the food brokerage was eliminated 3 weeks ago when we lost our #1 account and half the sales staff was "downsized".
I won't buy their products but would like to see some of them go out the door for free.

And no, the retailers aren't getting screwed out of the money because they accept the coupon. They are reimbursed the retail price + $0.08 handling.

Most coupons have a cash value of 1/100 of a penny. I suppose you could get someone to round up to a penny if you trade them in for cash.

yeah just ask the people to pay pal you like a buck and then mail the coupon the the people here at CAG. The buck they use to paypal you shold more then cover any postage. You won't make any real money but you sure as hell won't lose any. Plus you'll help you CAG friends get even fatter then they already are.

Maybe your local food pantry? The stores by you may not carry it, but maybe they know of another pantry that has them in their area and could use them.

If they could get a donation from Thomas' English Muffins, they'd be good to go!
Why don't you scan them and we can print them out and use them?
Sounds like he wants to make money on the situation

I like the scanning idea, but since I'm 1 of 8 people in the state that got these, I could get myself in a heap of trouble.

I am not out to make money. I have never mentioned anything about selling them, so here's the deal:

If anyone really wants to use them, give me a description of the label (color, wording, etc.) and I will send them ALL to you, no charge.

I may pull a few out for family, but there will be at least 60 of them!

First person to get it right wins 'em. You have the right to take all or some and let someone else have some.

I'll send you a self addressed stamped envelope if you want to help a jelly eating cheapass out. PM me your address. I'll take 5 if you care to spare them. Maybe someday I can repay the kindness.
Can I see if my store sells em in the chicago Area? I really just need some Grape and Strawberry Jelly.
Go for it, it's not like these things are going fast.
