crackdown 2 - Free DLC Achievement question

Hopefully this is the right place. I downloaded the Free Toybox etc stuff (I think it was after I got the email when it came out, mainly so the kids could try it or change colors which they cannot without premium I found)

I tried to get some of the achievements like the helicopter blade kills or the one about killing freaks with jet boots but despite doing the challenge no achievement was awarded. Is it possible to earn with the free one? Or does it just add them to the list with no chance to get them.

Kind of frustrating when games add extra achievements you don't have content for (happened with battlefield bad company 2 as well, it updated and added extra stuff from a DLC I don't have) it messes up you percentage :)
 
OK thanks...I searched all over and it is not made clear in any of the blogs etc about this item. But after a few goes I started to figure that might be the case. Which is better than the bad version of the DLC I guess where the game would freeze (I read about)

I think they should not add achievements to you game unless you buy them, I aim for 100% but don't want to be forced to buy extra to achieve that goal.

That DLC you downloaded is so you can play co-op with someone who bought the DLC on their 360. Otherwise, you'd have two different sets of items available to you and that wouldn't work for co-op.

If you want the achievements associated with the DLC, you need to buy it.
 
It is good that you can play with others using it and earn a few extra things to play with just be nice if the Achievement had a line through it or a note ((the ingame description) that said Premium only, would save some confusion. :) Again thanks for clarification, not many places seem to be able to do that :D
