Most likely, this is the case. Kerry could still pull out a win, however unlikely, due to the extremely large number of provisional ballots that were cast and not yet counted. If Kerry's campaign is correct that there are 250,000 provisionial ballots, Kerry only needs to win 56% of them to regain the lead in Ohio. For some reason, Ohio waits 11 days to count provisional ballots, so once again it will be a waiting game. Does anyone know why there is such a delay in counting those ballots? At least my state, Pennsylvania, supported Kerry.
According to Ken Blackwell, secretary of state for Ohio, there are only 175,000 provisional ballots. And he also stated that they will not change the outcome Bush winning ohio.
175,000 possible provisional ballots... remember, typically only 20% of those are found to be legitimate. Even if 100% are real.. does anyone expect Kerry to take over 80% of them? He needs to concede and not cause another Florida 2000 situation.. its bad for the country.
Not as bad as another 4 years with Bush. Hey, let's make another poll. Who are we going to invade next?
